How about that Rapture guys.
That was almost as bad as the one he predicted back in 84!

don't worry i'm sure we'll hear him again for the 2012 prediction.

Not happening.

If it does I got guns, ammo, water, MREs, canned food, and a give em hell attitude.

It's apparently suppose to happen at 6 PM.
So the first place that will be at 6 PM will be...?

I'm honestly just going to laugh this off.
Setting my watch for 6:01 PM.

I was walking my dog near home at 10 o'clock at night down a side street with nothing but closed businesses (and a Wal-Mart with very few customers) when I saw a man ahead of me walking toward me with a dog. To preemptively avoid the fiasco of mixing dogs, I crossed the street and continued past him. He came out into the street, waved and said:

Man: 'Beautiful day to praise God, eh?'
Me: 'Absolutely.'
Man: 'I wanted to talk with you about something.'
Me: 'I'm a Christian' *still walking*
Man: 'This is for Christians! This is a ministry that will really change your life, FamilyRadio.net!'
Me: 'Allright, I'll check it out.'
Man: 'God bless!'

Then I figured out that he wasn't a local walking his dog, he'd apparently driven past me, pulled into the Wal-Mart parking lot and gotten out to appear to casually intercept me and evangelize. I got a huge kick out of the front page of the site (this was like two years ago) talking about the rapture today.

I am amused that they stuck with the date all this time; we used to attend a church where we loved everything about it, except the pastor's insistence on preaching about the impending rapture. Of course, we're commanded to be ready, but there are only so many times you can hear "THE WORLD COULD END ON TUESDAY!"

Living in Australia, it's gonna be 8am here when all this goes down. Kinda looking forward to waking up into Rapture. I reckon I could handle the sploicers, and I know two, er, bigger guys name Adam so I'll have a decent supply of the stuff. Oh, I bet nobody has made any Bioshock jokes yet, I am a comic genius.

Seriously though. Looking forward to sleeping through the end of the world.

Catholics don't believe in the Rapture. In fact, this "prophecy" has been overwhelmingly panned in the Christian communities that do.

Everyone knows that Wesker is the reason the world will end.....PURE....Global....Saturation!!
Ahem.

COMPLETE...global...saturation!

I know my wesker.

Ot: I doubt it somewhat. I even feel disgusted at this guy. He's taking advantage of good, if a little naive, people. Not sure what he gets outta this, but he's still disgusting for it. The bible says you can't predict the end, and this guy tried twice. Really? It's like the Islamic terrorists that don't know Islam roughly translated means "peace".

Well, I have one thing to say about that.

Damn british gcse education.
First I appologize and second, what is the Brittish gcse? I'm quoting from a biography so it's not 100% and I don't wish to second guess an actual teacher.
Also I'm not trying to come off as athieist. No, no, I'm a Cool Aid drinker all right (as atheists call us) It's just that shenanigans like this make people question belief and it casts Deism and Faith itself into a bad light. I know I quoted Richard Dawkins although I'm a Deist myself, that's because he's a Scientist, I'm officially not. Right so then I don't argue with most of what he says (especially when it comes to genetics) because I defer to the fact that he knows more about it than I do. However, on the topic of Deism or Faith itself, I would love to debate him. The worst thing that is happening with this will be those who truly thought it was real, hell knows no fury like the dreamer betrayed and we don't need the excess pool of angst. This is America following the turn of the 20th Century. Full up at the moment.

If I had a dollar for how many times I was told the world was going to end, I would have... *Pulls out calculator* enough money to buy all the pandas in the world and dress them in top hats.

Well, Rapturefest 2010 was kinda boring... Not much happened. Here's hoping that 2012 brings us something a little more eventful...
