If it doesn't have Bill Goldberg in it then I'm not interested.

... What is this, I don't even know what this is... How is that santa bad? What did he do? Why's he in a cage? Why is he burried underground?

This movie trailer is forcing me to ask questions, but this Santa Claus is not Scary at all...
If I were you, I'd watch the movie to find the questions and doubts answered.

OT: I know someone will pirate this thing for Christmas to their families.

Interesting. Comes out right when here in the Netherlands we're having our own Sinterklaas (our version of Santa) horror movie.
I expected to see Sint here, too. I guess some are just as crazy as the Dutch by making these movies.

I'm curious about this one, it could be fun to watch and appreciate ironically.
Funny thing is that if you look up some of the history of Santa, it's actually pretty fucked up. Seriously the Santa that the popular culture displays fondly is nothing like the Santa in the lore and mythology.

One story involved him collecting the severed heads of murdered children and resurrecting them and thus becoming a saint. This whole story was based on a painting someone did of him surrounded by toy bags that were so poorly drawn they resembled human heads.

So while it is kind of ridiculous to imagine a horror movie themed around Santa, it's not like it's impossible. If nothing else, it'll be great to have the family come around and watch it on Christmas day.
See how Tiny Tim likes 'dem apples.

Yeeeeaaaaap. Want. :D Looks awesome. Good to see a trailer that left me asking questions instead of just giving away all the most awesome parts and all the plot straight away.

The elves are naked elderly men?
Uhhhh, what?

Psycho Santa movies have been around for a bit, but that took me by surprise.

Same here, the trailer for Sint is too horrible to link though.

Using that staff as a halberd looks cool though.

I love the Rare Exports Inc. short films, and this film seems to be made in the same black comedy kind as them!

I had a nightmare because of this. I was a Detective with my friends, solving a murder case. To solve it, my girl-companion put kittens and cats on an entrance to somehow 'stop the murderer.'

The next day, they had the same fate of the wolves in the trailer. It was basically that Santa except it was a little girl. Since it was a Dream, I used a Shotgun, Minigun and a Nuke...

First Sint, now Rare Exports. I'm loving what cinema is doing to Santa these days!

Sint trailer
And for your viewing pleasure: the opening sequence of the hit film Santa's Slay!

You know this movie sounds an awful lot like Goldberg's "Santa's Slay" in plot. In that movie Santa is a demon who lost a bet to an angel and was forced to spent centuries doing good deeds, with the movie picking up when the time limit for the deal has expired.

Oh and while less thematically similar:

A timeless Christmas Classic for you all to enjoy (Thanks Wierd Al!).

While far more obscure I also remember reading a short story about how Santa was actually the Devil (literally) and he did pretty much all the things in the stories, but the toys and such were manufactured by the souls of the damned as their torment. Can't remember the name of the book it was in though, whole series of short story collections that was published by White Wolf if I remember (not WoD related though).

Update: Ooops, well someone beat me to the "Santa's Slay" bit. :)

It's not a horror movie, but 'The Ref' or 'Hostile Hostages' is good fun, cynical without being totally heartless about xmas.

Stars Denis Leary as a burglar, and Kevin Spacey as an unhappy husband and father, and..well, I really enjoyed it!

Just noticed it's like £3 from Amazon too, I'm off to get one even tho it's on youtube in parts.
