For reasons that utterly beget me, I cannot read and use the toilet at the exact same time. I can do plenty of other things at the same time, but reading and using the toilet? No, one or the other.

Well, my train of thought is that if I have enough time to focus on reading a book on the toilet, I'm not in there to shit. However, I do read books and play DS while taking a bath on a regular basis.

Hell yeah!! Whenever I take a bath I always take a book with me. Or even a DS, mostly cause Sonic Rush is addictive.

But whenever I'm on the toilet I read,

im a loser girl. yea i read in the bathroom. Usually a gun magazine or something. Normally, when i buy a magazine like that, its for the "gun porn". SO when im sitting down in the bathroom, i actually read through the articles

I just realised I've spent the last 15 minutes reading about how people take a shit. And found it fairly diverting. Classy.

On topic: Yeah I take my book with me, but stop reading if there's anything too exciting going on. The idea is to relax the bowels, not have them knotted in anticipation. And of course, I put the book aside when it's time for the wiping.

Unless it's a bad book. Then I have a marvellous new application for it.

Always less than 1 minute. There's no point in me reading a magazine or anything. But I will read and send text messages quite often.

Right now I don't have anything to read, so I don't, usually I read though. That does extend my stay by a lot.

about 5 minutes of sitting there idling
10-15 minutes of puhing
5 Minutes of more idling
5-10 More mintues of pushing
10-15 Minutes of wiping

If you spend more than a minute or 2 wiping you're doing something wrong... Very wrong...

I do, though not that long. 20 minutes tops usually. I'll usually read a book or grab the paper if everybody else is done with it.

Btw I'm done with my business in about 5 minutes but I'll keep reading for another 15 minutes or so. If you guys questioning how you could ever possibly spent that long on the thing, try it you will see that time flies and it's surprisingly comfortable. Only problem is when your legs fall asleep!

I don't stay for 40 mins but I do read on the toilet or play handheld games. Sometimes I stay in there for longer than I should and long after I'm done with my business just because I'm absorbed in what I'm doing (15-20 mins), but never so long as 40 minutes.

I can see my computer screen from the toilet so I usually put on Star Trek or something while I'm doing the duke.

I often take my laptop in. I can set it on the counter and read or watch something. It's especially useful when I need to be there for a while.
