An old Black and White movie called Them!. It's about giant ants that invade New Mexico. It's a great movie.

I could list my normal movie answers, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Donnie, Star Wars IV-VI.

But I have one movie that's always great. Kung Fu Hustle. Mixing innovative fight scenes, over the top action, cartoonish fun, and a story with actual heart to it.

It's a movie you can enjoy at any time, lighthearted, but with actual tension. And an ending that leaves you happy long after.

Catch-22 ... it has Alan Arkin (gah, get those two names mixed up) as Yossarian. Admittedly nowhere near as good as the book, but then again nothing is.

And the first 6 Star Trek movies.

Plan 9 From Outer Space.

It is officially the worst movie ever made and it's absolutely worth every second you'll spend wondering not only how a peice of shit so fantastically awful got made but also why the hell you're still watching it. But continue to watch you will, with the morbid fascination of someone who stumbles upon a horrible flaming train wreck.

Just make sure you're slightly lubricated with some of the ole cidar first.

Mars Attack. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here already, that movie brings a whole new meaning to the word "hilarious".

Amarcord, by Federico Fellini

A blind accordionist, a midget nun, a cross-eyed mother, a perverted grandfather, a crazy uncle, a titanic-tittied MILF, a random motorcyclist, a town whore. What more could you ask for?

Avatar, not exactly a boundary breaking movie in terms of storyline, but the characters are likeable (if a little acratypical) and the universe it creates is second to none in terms of beauty. A movie with action, Sci-fi, discovery and love. It is a fantastic movie to sit down with a pizza and a friend or two.

However, if the blue people aren't your thing, you really can't go wrong with "Star Wars: A New Hope".

This film will mind-rape you. Then you will watch it another four times till you understand. So the sooner the start, the better. Really. It's awesome.

The whole Vengeance trilogy is amazing, though Oldboy in particular, is especially good.

That is how I felt. I was watching the credits trying to piece together the entire thing. They did a very good job making the main character in that movie not even a person.

Shaun of the dead or Hot fuzz.
Pretty much the movies that i can watch any time.
Zombieland is ok too, but if you are in a more dramatic mood, then you should watch The Pianist.
