My reaction
In all seriousness though, at least they have more time to develop and polish the game, and as others have on here, this gives us more time to play Elder Scrolls 5 and other various games coming in the holiday season.

As long as it's still in the earlier part of 2012 (as in January) I'm okay with that. Even if it does mean I have to spend an extra few months not hearing anything about the plot or characters of ME3.

I don't even know why Cerberus are doing whatever it is they're doing this time around. I tend to keep it that way until I get the game.

It's a challenge though: think I can make it all the way to release without knowing anything about plot, setting, squadmates or well, anything about the game whatsoever? That is the plan.

I am not really bothered. Gives BioWare more time to make sure that the game is going to be well polished and wont end up being as DA2 was.

And it gives me time to replay both ME1 and 2.

Woot. I actually didn't like that it would be released in 2011. A truly good game needs at least a 2 year development cycle (just look at Dragon Age 2)

While I feel deep sadness at not being able to finish the trilogy a few days after my birthday, if the game needs extra polish, so be it.

Yes! Now it doesn't have to go against Skyrim for GOTY and it's probably going to be a lot more polished.

I'm rather happy about this. I'm quite sure it'll end up disappointing me anyway, so giving me more time to play games that I'm actually expecting to enjoy is very welcome.

Ah well.

It's shame, but one can always comfort oneself with the old "better late and finished than early and incomplete" line.

I kinda expected this to happen, so I'm not all that disappointed. Still, I can't say I wont be anxiously awaiting it.

I'm actually glad for this. It gives me more time to get through Skyrim to an acceptable degree before starting another game I'm looking forward to.
Perfectly acceptable. Bioware has nothing to gain releasing their awesome game just days before Skyrim. Bioware is by no means a small company, but with so many Triple A Bruisers packed into one release season, the only way not to be worried over your product is if you're releasing a Halo game. Aside from projected sales, Bioware probably predicted that so much awesome in such a short span of time would shred the fabric of reality.

EDIT: Spelling and grammar

Too bad we'll never get to play it... because in 2012, the Reapers will appear.
Early 2012 my friend, Early.

OT: I'm Commander Shepard and- oh wait the jokes been done already damn...
Well they can take as long as they want as long as the game is well done. But what does this mean for KOTORO? Hmmmm?

The Reapers are coming. Their Arrival is inevitable.

Seeing as Dragon Age 2 only had 18 months, and was an utter failure in my opinion...

I can't help but see this as anything but good news.
I was worried they were going to rush the ultimate conclusion to Mass Effect as well.

Thought the Dragon Age 2 shitstorm was bad? Imagine a 6/10 Mass Effect 3....

Well, that isn't a very long delay. I can live with it. It further strengthens my belief that this will be the best game ever.

Seriously: Kind of happy they are delaying it. Gives me more time to finish paying it off.Especially if they make the game more epic!

I don't know how to react....on one hand this means more time for Skyrim or the other that means I'll have to wait till next year to play

I don't mind delays provided they don't last years and years *cough valve cough* but why is it so hard for developers to make an accurate time estimation. I kind of wish more developers would take the approach of, "we'll give you a release date when were sure we can get it out then."
