At least it's not pulling a Gears and F.E.A.R. 3. Release date right around the corner, then BAM! "Oh, sorry. We're delaying it again." However, it's getting to the point that I'm no longer going to believe any game has been released until it's in my home and up and running on my system.

So does this mean that they've agreed the Illusive Man has no reason to kill you and are trying to rewrite the story? Or are they just trying to come up with a good reason for him to want to kill in case you gave him the finger at the end of ME2, so indoctrination kinda won't cut it?

Sorry I keep on harping on that, but it's just that one rumored story point that REALLLY bothers me.

EA and Bioware are in the middle of some calibrations.

It can wait.
No matter how many times I hear that joke, it never fails to crack me up.

On the one hand - Nooooooooo! On the other, thank God. I'm going to have enough to play in November without needing to spend 30-60 hours playing a game I've been waiting for for the last year. Uncharted 3, Arkham city, Skyrim. Yeah, the time off will do me good.

Well, at least it's good that they delyed it NOW, rather than in November or so, when everyone (myself included) is hyped to death for the conclusion of this epic saga!

After the fun but rushed DA2, I'm really glad to hear it. I'll be hearbroken if Mass Effect 3 falls short.

I'm just gonna say that I called it at the VGAs.

There was no way they were meeting there deadline if all they had several months before the release date was a tiny trailer.

After Dragon Age 2, these news actually sound very very good. DA2 was rushed like hell, and I don't want last game in MA series to be such a dissapointment. Also I always remember Gabe Newell's "better delay for some time, than suck forever"

Fantastic news! Mass Effect 1 and 2 are my favorite games of all time, but this comes as welcome news to me. I like it not coming out in the cluster of games that always come out in the fall.

pah, the day D3 comes out is the day gabe newell releases info about half life 3

OT: I do not mind this one bit, more time for them to perhaps add some more elements/baddies, or refine what is there and really making the re playability a strong part of the game.

plus by that time i'll hopefully have had my fatty taste of skyrim and every other game coming out within the holidays.

Good.

Now I can happily play away on Skyrim for a few months in the knowledge that Bioware are taking their time to make ME3 great.
and when they come out i get to wait shaking in excitement for you to put out a epic song about mass effect 3
any way i expected them to do this to begin with prob a release in early jan

Is anybody really surprised by this? I think I was just waiting for how long it would take for them to announce it.

Good, hopefully with the extra development time this means they won't balls it up like they did with DA2.
