^This.
One of the best games on the DS to date.
Though if you don't like escape the room games or visual novels, you may want to look elsewhere.

I guess it depends on what you like, but I got into "The World Ends With You" recently. It's pretty awesome, but not sure if it's your cup of tea.

There was a thread like this in the PubClub forums with several pages of suggestions, but I doubt I'm allowed to copy them here.

Anyway, the only good DS games I've had are Final Fantasy IV and Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time was OK too, but Final Fantasy offers similar gameplay and does it better.

I have an annoying tendency to pick up shovelware and movie cash-ins that are horrible to play or extremely boring (Eragon DS, Burnout: Legends DS, Pokemon Dash etc.).

Played it, loved it, sold it, what else you got for me keep the pitches coming

Ask Susan from the escapist, she knows alot of DS games. You can do it on the publishers forum thing.

Everyone's going to tell you the Nintendo standbys, and they're right, but I'm going to focus on some more obscure games that need some recognition.
Henry Hatsworth. (A very literal interpretation of the term Puzzle-Platformer.
Infinite Space. (It is a fun, long RPG about space exploration and whatnot)
Lunar Knights. (What Kojima should be making more of instead of that Metal Gear nonsense)
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. (It's a puzzle game by the makers of Phoenix Wright, and quite a good one)

Phoenix Wright? As in Capcom? As in the one company that showed promise of not recreating the same crap every 2 years with a roster update by creating Megaman Legends 3 but cancelled it and proved how hopeless they are? Hahahahahaha NO

Any of the metroidvanias, super fun mix of action gameplay with RPG elements, Order of Eclessia has some damn sexy sprites too.

So because of one business decision, you're going to deny yourself a fun unique experience?

HEY! Metal Gear may be nonsense but it's some of the best nonsense there ever was. The next game can't come out soon enough.

That is an amazing game!
But for other ideas pokemon is great and if you get dragged into the highly addictive competitive play you will have hundreds of hours of play
Also games other games I would recomend are
Trauma Centre Under the Knife
Kirby Superstar Ultra and kirby Squeak Squad
Advance Wars dual strike and days of ruin (dual strike is better though)
Castlevania order of Eclesia
And of course Zelda spirit trakcs and Phantom hourglass
the layton games are also good

Really? Why the fuck would you recommend Endless fucking Frontier over the entire storied Super Robot Wars series? There are quite a few SRWs playable on DS, Gameboy too, and you choose THAT one?

See if you can find Chrono Trigger for the DS. It has all the greatness of the original with some extra fully animated cut scenes spliced in.
