Sounds good. Story mode's basically arcade mode then? The no damage scaling is ridiculous but I'd still like to try it.-Seraph- said:I got it a while back for my PSP off the PSN and it's a pretty fun game that is really easy to get into. It's another combo intensive game, but you can easily win without doing 10+ hit combos, and the control scheme is a little more dumbed down than other fighters. My only real complaints with he game was:Arisato-kun said:I really wanted to try Fate/Unlimited Codes. Had all intentions of importing it for PSP. Then my PSP bricked itself. What a terrible day.
1) story mode is kind of meh, it's your standard "win 10 matches with bits of dialogue in between", and I didn't find it as interesting as other fighting game story modes.
2) No damage scaling. This isn't a really bad thing, but I prefer my combo intensive fighters to have damage scaling. I remember plaything through Assassins story mode and Berseker was a pain in the ass due to his absurd damage. On the bright side though you can sort of scale the damage in the options so hits will either do more or less. It's a type of damage scaling, but not the type i prefer like in GG or BB.
Aside from that it's pretty fun and fast. Love Assassin, Rider, and Sabre![]()
Super Smash Bro's Melee!Durxom said:I love the genre and I want to get better at it or at least tie myself down to one. I have played alot and I own a few, but I was just wondering if the Escapists can help me pick one. I'm free game for any kind (although I am limited by the lack of 360,or PS3). And I also happen to have Street Fighter 4 and Guilty Gear XX: #Reload right beside me.
So, what do you think I should try out(for the Wii,PS2,PC, or older)? or can I get a good reason to reinstall those 2 PC fighters I have?
[sub]Also if it helps, I love fighters who primarly use their legs/feet, or on occasion, grapplers, in fighting games[/sub]
yea pretty much, but like I said, there is type of damage scaling. But all the damage option in the menus does is change the amount of damage taken from hits. it's on a scale from 1-4 and is default to 2 which is default and decent, 4 making things noobtastically friendly.Arisato-kun said:Sounds good. I would upgrade to Super (I really want to try Hakan), but like I said, I only have the PC version, and Capcom doesnt want to seem to release Super for it because of all the piracy from the first one.HonorableChairman said:SFIV is great but I would recommend upgrading to Super.
Guilty Gear XX is also great but I would recommend upgrading to Accent Core Plus.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 is always excellent, besides.
I actually have TvsC, but I couldnt get that much out of it cause I don't have anyone to play with(bro doesnt seem to like that one) and I don't seem to be very good at tag fighting.Hurr Durr Derp said:Anyway, if you're not using a PS3 or X360 you're not going to get a lot of cool new games, but the Wii has Capcom vs Tatsunoko. Even though I haven't played it myself, it's supposed to be really entertaining.
Playing fighting games on the PC... well, as long as you've got a good pad or arcade stick, I suppose there's nothing wrong with it. Playing a fighting game on the keyboard would be a nightmare though, especially if you intend to get good at it.
Try Tatsunoko VS Capcom.Durxom said:So, what do you think I should try out(for the Wii,PS2,PC, or older)? or can I get a good reason to reinstall those 2 PC fighters I have?
