I really wanted to try Fate/Unlimited Codes. Had all intentions of importing it for PSP. Then my PSP bricked itself. What a terrible day.
I got it a while back for my PSP off the PSN and it's a pretty fun game that is really easy to get into. It's another combo intensive game, but you can easily win without doing 10+ hit combos, and the control scheme is a little more dumbed down than other fighters. My only real complaints with he game was:

1) story mode is kind of meh, it's your standard "win 10 matches with bits of dialogue in between", and I didn't find it as interesting as other fighting game story modes.

2) No damage scaling. This isn't a really bad thing, but I prefer my combo intensive fighters to have damage scaling. I remember plaything through Assassins story mode and Berseker was a pain in the ass due to his absurd damage. On the bright side though you can sort of scale the damage in the options so hits will either do more or less. It's a type of damage scaling, but not the type i prefer like in GG or BB.

Aside from that it's pretty fun and fast. Love Assassin, Rider, and Sabre :)
Sounds good. Story mode's basically arcade mode then? The no damage scaling is ridiculous but I'd still like to try it.

SFIV is great but I would recommend upgrading to Super.

Guilty Gear XX is also great but I would recommend upgrading to Accent Core Plus.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is always excellent, besides.

If you had a snes i would recommend primal rage. Its like street fighter but with dinosaurs and a big monkey.
Its the only fighting game i've ever really enjoyed for some reason. Maybe its just for the dinosaurs XD

I love the genre and I want to get better at it or at least tie myself down to one. I have played alot and I own a few, but I was just wondering if the Escapists can help me pick one. I'm free game for any kind (although I am limited by the lack of 360,or PS3). And I also happen to have Street Fighter 4 and Guilty Gear XX: #Reload right beside me.

So, what do you think I should try out(for the Wii,PS2,PC, or older)? or can I get a good reason to reinstall those 2 PC fighters I have?

[sub]Also if it helps, I love fighters who primarly use their legs/feet, or on occasion, grapplers, in fighting games[/sub]

yea pretty much, but like I said, there is type of damage scaling. But all the damage option in the menus does is change the amount of damage taken from hits. it's on a scale from 1-4 and is default to 2 which is default and decent, 4 making things noobtastically friendly.

The PS2 is pretty godly when it comes to fighting games.. between the Tekken series, VF4, SC2, CvS2 and the Street Fighter collections there's almost too much quality fighting game goodness going on there.

Soul Calibur 4, for your endless character customization, Tekken, for your silky smooth, flashy juggle combos, Dead or Alive for your hyperspeed attacks and inexplainable sexualisation, Street Fighter for your Veterans Guild badge, and Shaq-Fu, for your.......Shaq-Fu.

My personal all-time fave is Capcom vs SNK 2. I haven't played it in a while TBH, but I used to be really into it. It's one of only two games that I've ever considered myself actually good at (and I was damned good).

Anyway, if you're not using a PS3 or X360 you're not going to get a lot of cool new games, but the Wii has Capcom vs Tatsunoko. Even though I haven't played it myself, it's supposed to be really entertaining.

Both the original Xbox and the PS2 both have a good number of fighting games as well. It's hard to recommend just one since different people will have different preferences. If possible, you should try out a bunch of different ones and settle for the one that suits you best personally. For example, a lot of people love Tekken but I can't stand it, and a lot of people despise Dead or Alive but I find it a lot of fun.

Playing fighting games on the PC... well, as long as you've got a good pad or arcade stick, I suppose there's nothing wrong with it. Playing a fighting game on the keyboard would be a nightmare though, especially if you intend to get good at it.

I would upgrade to Super (I really want to try Hakan), but like I said, I only have the PC version, and Capcom doesnt want to seem to release Super for it because of all the piracy from the first one.

And I suppose I could upgrade to that if I bought the PS2/Wii version. #reload is the only one i know that is available for PC.

I actually have TvsC, but I couldnt get that much out of it cause I don't have anyone to play with(bro doesnt seem to like that one) and I don't seem to be very good at tag fighting.

And to the PC question, well luckily I have this..

Try Tatsunoko VS Capcom.
Its for the Wii and is one of the best fighters iv ever played.

It reminds me of a Cleaner and more Simplistic Marvel VS Capcom.(Which to me is a good thing)
It still is pretty complex, with moves like Mega Crash, Crossover Air Raids, and each Characters partner support, but it makes it easy to get into and easy to learn the basics.

Its got a great selection of fighters, each one having a very unique fighting style.
26 characters in all.

All in all with some good Bonus content, fun online, and absolute Awesomeness(Looks at Avatar) id Highly recommend this game.
Id also Recommend using a Gamecube Controller, it just feels the best out of the other two options(Wii-mote and Classic Controller).
[sup]Yes i love this Game...why do you ask?[/sup]
:p
EDIT:I just noticed you already have TvC.

So ill also add Naruto Clash of Nin REV:3.
Its a major improvement on the Series and is quite a bit of fun to play.
There is also SSBB.(Samus and Wolf FTW)

If you have a Ds though, Bleach:Dark Souls is a great Fighting Game.
Its got a good amount of characters and a fun style.
