recommend me a horror game!

i would like to get a new horror game for the 360, with emphasis on the lates extra credit video, i want psychological scares, with mystery. the jump out scares strike me as incredibly cheap, and after a while boring and predictable.

i honestly can't think of any i don't have (condemned and dead space) suggestions you learned fellows?

The first F.E.A.R. game is good at giving scares.
The second one just sucks at it though...

So yeah, get the first F.E.A.R.

You could try Deadly Premonition (open-world survival horror game). It's 20 bucks new, and probably a hell of a lot cheaper used. The only issue is, it's one of those games that you either hate or love.

I can't really reccomend anything that has actually "scared" me on the 360.
FEAR, the first one, gives a good scare.

But if you want something really scary..
Penumbra.
That shit will fuck with your mind.
It is on the PC, shouldn't take much to run.

dead space kind of got to me, again becuase you wanted to investigate, that said the jumps were nearly always jump out scares...

I agree with Irridium's statement on the original F.E.A.R. That game is the definition of good horror.

I suppose I couls toss S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as well. While it's not meant to be a horror game, it is definately good a dealing out scares.

Look into Condemned or Condemned 2. I played the C2 demo and was legitimately creeped out. Not my thing so I didn't bother getting the game, but it does do the right kind of creeps.

You rock, man. That game gave me nightmares. Seriously, any fan of survival horror needs to play Siren Blood Curse. Dead Space never felt like a real survival horror game. More like a slasher film.

P.C though, U.F.O Aftermath, unlike most its a squad based strategy but trust me it can do the aspects well. Heres some of the enemie's

Dangle fly: A giant fly growing from a humans lower half with the upper hanging below

Plecton: A walking mass of corpses that projectile-vomits at you.

Deathbellows: While still alive a person is turned into a swarm of flies hive.
