bioshock is a first-person RPG. but no matter, that and Painkiller should be quite awesome.Flour said:Bioshock is not an RPG.
But a good game to train FPS skills would be Painkiller.
Every level is filled with enemies, and it has every standard FPS weapon. You'll learn everything you need to survive online in that game.
Gears of War is not an FPS, its a 3rd person shooter. and halo is shit compared to most pc FPS games.Ethereal.Frog said:Halo 3, everybody's doing it. Gears of War if you feel the need to challenge yourself, 2 is easier. TF2 on pc is serious, so be careful if you're thinking about that, there's lots to learn and nobody is going to tell you where to learn it. COD4 might be good for a new fps player, but I would personally introduce somebody to the fps genre with either Halo: Combat Evolved or TF2 on pc, but I haven't actually introduced anybody to fpses and I was already a good fps player when I got TF2 so I'm not really sure about that though.
geez... Gears of War isnt an FPS.Rack said:Gears of War and Halo 3 seem to be pretty easy going for beginners. I don't know about the 360 version, but don't touch the PC version of TF2 until you're seriously good, because it won't do to be learning how to aim while bunny hopping and working out which class does well at what in what situation against which combination of classes.
That's a matter of opinion. I wouldn't call BioShock an RPG at all. But, again, I suppose it's just an opinion. Either way the game is pretty great.Christemo said:bioshock is a first-person RPG. but no matter, that and Painkiller should be quite awesome.Flour said:Bioshock is not an RPG.

work up to bioshock?Plauged1 said:If you have a ps2, I found Black to be laughably easy on normal. So you can basically imagine what easy was like.=) Also, COD4 wasn't that hard. I would say start with Black or L4D, and work up to Bioshock. After that, you should be average at worst.
