Have you tried a game called "Minesweeper"? It's one of the best selling games of all time . . . it's on more computers than any other game . . . maybe it's even on yours already!

Risen was a game that got so much out of my old shitty computer, I was positively surprised.

fallout 1 and 2. play some proper fallout at least, not this cheap oblivion with guns-thing that can't hold a candle to the brilliance of the originals.

Dungeons and dragons all you need is a book some pens and paper and a couple of other like minded people = as much fun as your minds are limited to :D

You could probably play World of Tanks its pretty good if you just wanna play a few quick matches every now and again (unless you get a match on campinovka in which case bring your picnic basket)

Groundcontrol 1.
It's free, and it's veeeery good.
I'll also recomend Sins of a Solar Empire, scales really well, even I can run it smoothly on low-mid settings.

I've tried defcon didn't understand anything, it was pretty boring.
Depends on the person. If you really like tension-building instead of all-action-all-the-time, then Defcon will never disappoint. If you are an all-action-all-the-time person though, maybe you could try playing a game at the fastest speed setting?

Some people have compared Defcon to chess; playing at the fastest speed would then be like playing Extreme Speed Chess.

Bring some RAM from home... If you could play Bioshock, you could probably play GTAIV, MW2, CoD4 or CoD2, Counter-Strike, Racedriver GRID...

Not to say people are wrong but I wouldn't get Morrowind unless you are willing to put up with the graphics and the combat. Other than that it is a good instalment.

  • Dragon Shard
    Knights of the Old Republic
    Divine Divinity
    Any Age of X game
Battle For Middle Earth is pretty low spec at this stage
    Titan Quest+Expansion
Off the top of my head. Also go to Kongregate and Armour(It is really Armor but I hate leaving out the u) Games and other website to find loads of great flash games. Not so much for gameplay but for a good story and dialogue RPG Shooter: Starwish is pretty good. Plays like Gradius with some silly stats.

I'd suggest heading of to GOG.com - they've got LOADS of old, low requirement, PC games you can DL for pretty cheap.

I've re-bought more games than I'd care to admit because of how easy it is to use them.

For Example:
Masters of Orion 2 - One of the best 4X games, like, ever...low requirements and loads of fun!
