I was considering buying a 360 some time soon, and I'm trying to find enough good exclusives to make it worthwhile. I've got the obvious ones (i.e. Halo, Gears, Dead Rising and Crackdown), but was wondering if anyone here could recommend some others. I'm into pretty much any genre, except racing games (Burnout-esque ones excluded) and sports games.
Any suggestions?

Mass Effect 1 & 2 of course, easily the best exclusive Xbox360 games out there.

Gears of War may interest you, as well as Mass Effect [1 and 2 for both]. They're the only two I can think of right now.

I do not like those games, therefore your opinion is wrong.

OT: How about Kameo Elements of Power

Get some MS points and buy some arcade games like Perfect Dark, Serious Sam, and Castle Crashers.

Or if you want to scare yourself til you crap your pants, get the first Condemned.

You can't say his opinion is wrong. Thats why it's an opinion.
I actually agree with Knunis, Mass Effect 1 and 2 are the best exclusives on the 360.

Mass effect 2, Gears of War and Metro 2033 are not 360 exclusives if you can get them on PC

One 360 exlusive I thought was good was Chromehounds but that game is years old at this point. Youd be hard pressed to find a copy

not exclusives.

OP: I'd recommend geometry wars R/E 2, so much fun.
Well, they aren't any other home consoles. I'm not including the PC when I say 'exclusives'.

But yeah, as far as XBLA games go, you should get Toy Soldiers and Castle Crashers. As well as Geometry Wars.
well then your definition of exclusive is wrong.
Taking this a bit seriously? If we count the PC, then there actually aren't many truly exclusive games for 360/PS3, are there?

Didn't the dude say exclusives
I'm assuming he means console exclusives, i.e games only on the Xbox console, and not the PS3.

Granted, I'd disagree with classifying them as "exclusives" (or "Xclusives" heh, wordplay) especially if you can get them on the PC, but that's not really my room to say.

By exclusive, I mostly meant console exclusives. I prefer them on PC, but my PC is a bit crap, so that's not really an option.

I have a second question though. How does the backwards compatibility work? I had a quick look, and it seems to be something to do with downloading emulators or something. I've probably got it completely wrong. Can anyone explain it in nice, simple stupid-people terms?

I suggest Viva Pinata 1&2, if only because noone else has.

I also recommend most of the stuff the other people have said.

Stubbs the Zombie.

You can download very cheap off XBL and I have to say, it's one of the funniest and most fun games of the last generation.

Buy It!

It works for most games... but good, lesser known games such as TimeSplitters dont work on 360
I think there is a list on xbox.com

This and if you like multiplayer, Left 4 Dead 1/2.
