You may like Godsmack. Listen to "I Stand Alone" (one of my favs).
I mainly listen to Disturbed and Godsmack. I'm very picky about my music.
Two of my favorites. I also like A7X, Metallica, and Pantera

I say listen to System of a Down or Rise Against...
Offspring, Sum 41... (Two of my favorite bands, saw them in concert together, epic)
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones(If you're into ska)...
Led Zeppelin, The Who (If you're into Classic rock >:D)
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica...
A Day To Remember is definitely a good recommendation <.<
Definitely Red Hot Chili Peppers.
That's all I can think of for now. I'm a big Rock/Punk/Metal fanatic.

Running Wild is an awesome metal band. Some of my favorite songs by them:

My 5 favorite bands would have to be Running Wild, Nickleback, Linkin Park, Black Sabbath, and Tenacious D.

Iron and Wine is a good ass band. Very relaxing, but awesome lyrics and guitar work.

Even if it does nothing for the OP I'll say thanks myself awsome stuff.

Maybe try expanding your music horizons alittle? Throwing names do what you will.

Blue Oyster Cult, Ramjam, Soundgarden, Audio Slave, Jack Johnson, Samurai Champloo OST :p

I don't know if you'll like it, but check out Gogol Bordello. Hardcore gypsy punk; and not Blink-182 punk, I mean actual punk.

Vision of Disorder is a great metal band. They're seperated now and half the band is Bloodsimple which is far far more mainstream than VoD is.

Okay, normally I listen to pure rock, from the 60's till the 90's. I recently downloaded the Billboard top 100 for the year for my cousin. I was bored in study hall so I thought I'd give it a listen. Turns out, there were quite a few good songs.

If you need me, I'll go back to GNR, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd now

Them Crooked Vultures was my favorite album this year, and sounds more or less like what you're looking for. And while you're at it, check out Queens of the Stone Age, as they sound pretty similar.
I was savagely let down by that album. It sounded as if it was a jam that should've stayed in their bedroom. Given the hype that was understandably surrounding it I was expecting a lot better.
Well, to each his own, I guess. But I absolutely loved the album: it sounded like a Queens album where everything just clicked and each song had a different influence to make each and every one completely original and enjoyable. Still, I guess you can't please everybody.

Yeah, it did sound very QOTSA-y and I've never been their biggest fan, but oddly enough I love them live. So I imagine TCV's will be the same.

Death is a good band, try their 1998 album the sound of perseverance, they have stuff going way back, but the 1998 album should be more suitable for you.

Also try Dethklok

It might help if you list the bands you already listen to so you dony get a list of the same bands.
And i really suck at the whole music genre thing. I cant tell the difference between them XD
But hey, i like Slipknot, Atreyu, Amon Amarth, Rise Against, Iron Maiden
Any of these working for ya?
Ok I like Mastodon, Slipknot A7X, Bullet for my valentine, Daath, Demon Hunter, DevilDriver, Disturbed, Five finger death punch, the haunted, In flames, Machine Head, Shinedown, Volbeat and 3 days grace to name a few.
I imagine you'd like Alter Bridge then. Personally, I'd say pick up their second album, Blackbird, over One Day Remains, their first album. It has a far fuller, more developed sound. It's also heavier in style, so closer to some of the other stuff you like.

Actually, they do sound a lot better live. Their album is really underproduced (I'm guessing because it's self-produced), but live they just rock loud and hard. It's kind of funny that more things are going on music-wise in their live show than on their album. Still, the whole band is sort of an acquired taste, much like Queens.

hmmmmm.
Black Sabbath, Nine Inch Nails, Sick Puppies, Marilyn Manson (but dear god not past Golden Age of Grotesque for you), Drowning Pool (only the first album though), Seether, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden. And maybe Sum 41, NOFX or the Red Hot Chili Peppers. That and everything everyone else has said.

And someone has just introduced me to machine head. Thank you.
