I have spent the last couple of days wading threw the thousands upon thousands of horrible mods out there and I was wondering if anyone had any mods that they recommend?

The games I want to mod are:

1.Garry's mod
2.Half Life 2
3.Oblivion
4.Fallout 3

In that order

Please include links for these mods and (if necessary) instructions for installation.

For Half Life 2: get smod. definitely.
For Garrys Mod I'd reccomend the Phoenix storm item packs. But there's really too much choice to get just one. Go here [http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/] for more.
For Oblivion, go here [http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html]
I can't help you with fallout, i'm afraid.

You want to mod garrys mod? Good luck with that one.
I was thinking the same.

I think Deadly Reflexes for Oblivion is good, and if you like Warhammer 40,000 I've seen a few Space Marine/Imperial Guard mods for Fallout 3 floating about.

Although I've only seen Death Korps of Krieg for Imperial Guard.

Please don't make comments about something you don't know about.

Research and Development is a very good HL2 mod. For the others it's more of a taste thing. Visit The Elder Scrolls Nexus (or Fallout Nexus) for mods on those games.

For Fallout 3, I like the GreenWorld [http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2456] mod, which turns grass green and puts leaves on the trees. It makes the game much less dull and monotonous.

If you're not using OOO for Oblivion and FOOK for Fallout 3, you're doing it wrong.

Unofficial patches are a necessity as well.

I'll second that one. Probably one of the best HL2:EP2 mods out, especially if you like physics based puzzles.

It basically adds new weapons and generally alters the fundemental gameplay style. I personally found it to be a bit buggy but its fairly likely that I messed up the installation.

I very much recommend Research and Development for HL2. You can find it amongst many other mods in ModDB.

Basically, you play through the hl2 story, but with weapons that include exploding bananas, a shovel and a portable strider cannon. and scissors.

For GMod, try the PhoeniX model packs, WireMod (No, I will NOT explain to another person how to install it).
HL2- Research and Development, SMOD, Nightmare House, MINERVA (A must get), the list is endless.

Oblivion- http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/top/

Fallout 3- http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/top/
