Now, let me preface this with a bit of perspective: I hardly ever dream. I've had maybe five dreams in my entire life that I recall. An odd occurrence it is.

But, for the last month or so, I've been having this dream.

It always starts out the same way:

I'm in a forest. It's dusk, and it's hot, it's humid, and bugs are everywhere. I'm terrified. I know I'm going to die. I consider running, but I know it's no use. I turn around, and there is a Bengal Tiger facing me. Eyeing me. Not as prey, but as a rival. We fight.
I practice Tiger/Crane style Kung Fu, just FYI, but in my dream I'm only using Tiger.

It's a long, bloody, fearsome battle. I take sustain heavy wounds, but in the end, victory falls upon me.
This is where it changes from night to night, but a few things are always the same:

1)My pubes fall out and are replaced with a patch of tiger fur. A token of my victory?
2)I go on to reap the rewards of being top dog.
3)This usually involves laying improbable numbers of females, tactfully but totally pwning other dudes, and generally being a badass. You know, everything you I could possibly want.

Then it falls back into sweet routine, and it ends with this scene:

I'm standing on a cliff, above the ocean. Waves decry their passionate love for the rocks below. The wind is blowing through my hair, and I'm naked.

I realize that nothing matters, that my life will never be perfect, and I can never attain happiness. And yet amidst all this, I regret nothing, and know that even though I soared to immense heights, I was still just a man. I dive off the cliff.

Some dream experts believe that dreams are where we practice skills that could potentially save/end our lives in a safe environment.

Sounds like one of those dreams to me, with some weird stuff add (As most dreams have).

What did you want in reply here, anyway?

The meaning behind dreams are usually the meaning we think they have, as they are our dreams that use metaphors that have meaning to us.

There are a few kinds of dreams, and several levels of dreaming. Everything night a person has at least 7 or so dreams. Most people don't remember any of them, I actually remember just about all my dreams, but usually recall the last dream I had the clearest.

So the two layers of dreams are what can basically be considered "defragging memory" of your brain, and the unveiling of subconscious emotional states you could not cope with having while awake. The later is harder to recall, and might only make sense while in the dream. These can occur more frequently if there's an emotion your purposely ignoring while awake, that your brain trying to get across.

The "defragging memory" the more commonly recalled type of dream. These sort memory, making you forget unimportant things. They are also used for a lot of testing. Simulating repetitive activity? for example, your kung fu practice is simulated in a dream, to help you practice it. You can simulate the same activity many more times while dreaming than while awake, improving your skill. Test also exist to simulate new ideas, or rather help you come up with new ideas, by mixing up memories in ways you've never thought before. In combination the two can also help prepare you for events of feelings you've never had before.

So yah, it's hard to say why this dream keeps on happening. Maybe its about your training, could be a new story or idea you just happen to enjoy thinking about (not judging, heh), maybe its trying to prepare you for a realization your worried your about to have or are ignoring.

Are you trying to belong to a group you don't think will ever accept you for what you are? Are you afraid you'll reach your limits and there will be nothing left to achieve? Those are the two thoughts I had, but both probably reflect more on how my mind thinks than yours.

Otherwise, insert joke answer here:

another troll? Not as good as the last troll thread in the advice forum.

People put some hidden meaning behind their dreams, as them being symbolic or something. Its all in your head already though. Your stress levels, what your stressed about, and what is important to you. You can clue in on some things that maybe you need to fix in your life but don't take it to seriously unless your a troll in which case you might wanna groom that tiger fur I doubt the numerous females want that kind of wild.
