I never used auto aim. Look in the options. All of Rockstar's modern games let you turn it off.

I thought Saint's Row IV (and 3) was garbage. Nothing other games should aspire to.

Saint's Row 3 is one of the biggest regrets I have ever purchased, Completely easy gameplay and repetitive Call of Duty esque missions (and people were complaining that GTA 4 had repetitive missions)

The DLC was shallow has fuck imo because they were too short and lackluster, I paid almost all of what I deem to be "essential" DLC, the Weapon Packs, the vehicle packs, and the Mission Packs, I was dissipointed in all of them.

And don't get me started on the City my goodness it is boring looking. Its just another New York and not as memorable either.

Plot went all over the place, Why did they made the Luchadore guy the main villain? I wanted that Belgian French Guy to be the villain throughout the game.

I had more fond memories of GTA 4 than Saints Row 3.

The original was an awful experience for me.

The main character had a dire turning circle and felt sluggist to play. The auto-targetting system meant I could switch off and not have to try in combat scenarios. And the boring, empty, dull open world interested me about as much as Nepal's most commonly used stamps.

I've also totally gone off the GTA series since the 4th installment. These games just aren't fun to play anymore, and Saints Row 4 really reminded me how exciting and in your face a real game of this ilk can be.

Hope RDR2 takes some cues from SR4 and doesn't give us another game which prioritzes realism & story over action, fun & gameplay.

At first I really dug SR4 because it was off-the-wall different, but then its generic design and lackluster execution overcame my initial excitement to the point where I could no longer continue. I only played through the Escape mission and realized there was too much left to bother with. The best part about the game was customizing my character attributes and turboing around the city in low gravity, which got old rather quickly.

For all its eccentric styling the game just physically felt so bland to play and observe. For example its combat/shooting felt like an early iteration of what's in DNF. I'm also tired of games wanting me to collect hundreds of fragments of crap strewn about every nook and cranny. I'd probably have some fun getting drunk and watching a Lets Play of it, but that's about it at this point.

If they can continue with the strong narrative of the previous game hand in hand with the, for me, high quality game play I'll be happy. I just wonder how they will tackle the era and what the main theme will be.

Zoom in? I'm having trouble remembering. You mean when you hold L1/L2? Yes, you can turn that off. I was never able to lock on.

Yeah mate, whenever I pulled the left trigger button it zoomed in and locked on, then stayed tracking the enemy if I remember right. Think GTA5 does the same. It essntially meant I could close my eyes, press left trigger then right trigger, and wipe out a load of enemies literally with having my eyes closed.

Didn't realize it could be turned off! Will bare that in mind if I try the sequeal or another GTA game.

I guess the eccentric style and humour won me over. I agree, collecting all the random bits aint the greatest fun, but thegame as a whole was just such popcorn, bubble gum, dumb daft fun to me that I relished it

I want to see Rockstar take their online multiplayer and apply it to a biome which isn't expressly tailored and encouraging griefing douchebaggery! (Seriously, GTA Online could have been such an epic shared world mmmo-esque creature if they'd segregated pvp into its own corner and placed all PVE concepts in the open world shared lobby)

Maybe a new title will give them a chance to try make MP without making it expressly for the worst gaming behaviours out there.

Haha, I have to agree. I didn't try it without the auto-aim, but I really wasn't impressed anyway. everything felt very much on rails, and - even though they've adjusted the car handling from GTA4 - it still played boringly when compared to the OTT action of SR4.

GTA is way too much of a life sim now for me. I've not really got sucked in by any of them since Vice City.

Just replaying RDR on Xbox360. Never finished it but it's definitely a great game. Not R* best but it still rocks.

Same, wanted to play Undead Nightmare for Halloween and realized I'd never even finished RDR. So now I'm continuing with and old save from years ago.
