Ze Americans, zey just don't get it. Reproducing foreign comedies, with yankee actors is stupid. They should just buy the airing rights or whatever it's technically called, because they always cock it up. Not to mention the fact that more often than not they bomb in American audiences as well. Better to just see, just try for once, and see if the yankee audience likes the original, before everything gets frenchfrizicised.

Remember, the reason Fawlty Towers didn't work was because of Basil.

I remember watching that series a whole lot when I was a kid in middle school. Very funny show. My favorite episode is the one where they run into the Despairo Squid (or something like that) but they wake up and learn that all their adventures on red dwarf was part of a game...or is it?

Ah... the Dispair Squid. The episode is Back to Reality. Brilliant episode.

Makes me wonder why the US version of The Office is so popular. I tried it. Dull as burnt toast. Haven't given the original a shot though...

Yeah. that episode was brilliant. It would be even better if that theory did turn out to be right and it was JFK who shot himself... *sigh*

I hope it isn't going to be a let down.. while i did enjoy season 8 (a T-rex eating a cow vindaloo... I cant judge it) i hope it'll return to the good times.

Also... Stoke me a clipper I'll be back for Christmas.
