Regarding pony hate

Its the internet. Grass grows, birds fly and haters hate. While I myself enjoy the show, I understand that many people go over the top with there fandom, making full costumes and fan fictions. Also some then simply constantly parrot pony memes which then makes our fanbase seem annoying. Really it isn't much more annoying than any other fanbase, its just getting more attention at the moment because it is relatively new and so many have joined it so fast.

Give it time and the hate will die down as does everything eventually. Hate for Duke Nukem surged when it was released but I haven't seen much recently. Just give it time.

tbh every meme gets annoyed. i hate MLP memes, but i like the show.

Nothing against the cartoon or people who like it, but the attention seekers going "Oh, look at me, I'm like, a male and an (nearly) adult and I totally dig MLP!" are annoying. Everyone who calls himself brony goes on my personal ignore list.

I never really get too much about the pony meme from people. And I don't despise it. But I see a lot of people with pony avatars who could be doing something remotely creative and unique with not just their avatars but their entire lives and I realized just now that I hate ponies.

I've already done that. Weeks ago. I found no threads that were derailed by ponies. It's the reason I want you to show me. I've seen other complain about this too, but when they are asked about proof they ignore it.

The insane amount of pony threads was probably a bit(this is probably an understatement) annoying though, but that's what happens when something new and popular finds its way to the internet.

I was in the "Memes you hate" thread, and noticed a lot of people voted for My Little Pony. I'm just curious of why you hate it. I don't think there's much of a reason to, at least not on the escapist. We keep to ourselfes in the MLP group chat, and the only pony you get from us are our avatars. Otherwise we're like any other escapist user. And I don't see you hating on people with, let's say, TF2 avatars, even though there's a lot of people with that too.

im a pony fan so i cant really say but i would assume the people who dont like the show (either because they tried it and hated it, or because they instinctively hate things that are popular) feel bitter about seeing it all over the place.

why i hate it:

animation looks cheap and like something done on flash (i have a thing against animations studios being cheap when shows like invader zim are animated in beautiful way and get canceled)

The show in the 80s was to sell us toys but everyone knew it was for small girls while this one exist just to leach off nostalgia.

the current show JUST FUCKING SUCKS in both writting and a animation...also character design but thats a given

it somehow turn a bunch of boys into a buch of damn sissies.

1. The animation is pretty good and sleek. But I guess it's just a matter of preferences.
2. Lol, no. I can tell you that most of the people that enjoy Friendship is Magic thinks that the older generations are utter shit. We don't speak of it. IT WAS TERRIBLE.
3. Character design, that's about preferences again. But the stories are well written, don't you say anything else. They're interesting, which is fucking hard to come by in modern cartoons.
4. They turn boys into damn sissies? That comment is bad, and you should feel bad. Looking at your avatar, I'm gonna make this rebuttal:

Really? lolnope. We were actually accused of it earlier in the thread. In fact someone even joined the group just to tell us how gay we were. Other than that, we never do any of those things. Not on the escapist at least.
