I really want to say that Nintendo got my vote the moment Bayonetta 2 was announced. Bayonetta sequel was all but canned. No one was going to put money down to put a niche game, but Nintendo did. There is no way anyone is going to believe Bayonetta 2 was going to sell consoles, but that fact that Nintendo put down money for the sequel to be made definitely earned my respect by Nintendo.
Minor correction, there never was plans for a Bayonetta 2. I was made as a one-shot. The only reason their is a sequel is because Nintendo told Platinum to make it for them.
wow your information is way off. Bay 2 was a game that kamiya wanted to make for sure if you followed his tweets. but coyld not and it was assumed that when Sega cancelled a number of unnamed games last year Bay 2 was one of them. so take that! big fans of Bayonetta had their hearts broken last year.

Sony and Microsoft is relying too heavily on third party multiplatform games which will be better on the PC (as far as I heard and there first and second party are either meh at best and ugh at worst. Say what you will about Nintendo making the same games over and over again (which is only partially true) they really do make their games up-held to a very high quality and deliver them in new and exciting ways.

I'm not sure buying a Wii U is worth it.
Its not.

In all seriousness, the Wii U just doesn't have anything new that's all that interesting. The most publicized game is an HD rerelease (and lets be honest, while I don't have that much of a problem with HD rereleases the Wind Waker already looked amazing on the Gamecube, we really don't need it anywhere near as badly as Nintendo wants us to believe) and all their games that look fun are sequels that bring nothing new to the table... or should I say nothing new to the TABLET! Ohhhhh!

This has got to be the most lazy PR move ever. On the other hand "meh" sums up what I think of almost the entire WiiU library at this point.

You know, its good that Reggie thinks the WiiU's lineup looks good to him. I mean, someone, somewhere, needs to, and it might as well be him.

In return, Gamers say meh to the Wii U's line up.

I've yet to see a game that's caught my interest on the Wii U so far and it doesn't look like it's going to change too soon. I know it's personal opinion and all that but there haven't been too many exclusives outside of the usual franchises.
Or just "meh" to the Wii U full stop.

Anyway, good work, Mr Nintendo Man, keep up the rhetoric. We're all rooting for you, really.

I was gonna parody him with "new IP is so last century!" but looking at the PS4 and Xbone lineups, that's not a very valid argument...
Suffice it to say I'm simply much more faithful that there will be new IP on the other two consoles far more then there will be on the Wii U.

Are you saying that a representative of NINTENDO prefers HIS company's lineup to that of it's rivals? BIG SHOCK!

Representatives are basically fanboys, their opinions on other companies and their own are extremely biased. Say bad things about their own companies and they'll get fired or told off so that gives them even more incentive to not.

See what a gamer says, but not a fanboy!

I know it's an old cliche to compare Nintendo to Disney, but there's a reason why Disney is still successful 90 years after its inception: They don't look at each year's calendar, and every day say, "Gee, we need another full-length Mickey Mouse film. And a new Donald Duck film. And another Snow White sequel."
Nintendo needs to find their own version of Pixar. I guess Rare held that position for a few years, but that was something like half my entire life ago.

Really? Because in the last year lone, it's had ZombiU, Wonderful 101 and Pimin 3 as exclusives, and has got Bayonetta 2, X and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem locked down for next year sometime. Those aren't exactly 'the usual franchises'.
And those new games are why I'm looking at the Wii U in the near future, just waiting for the price drop in Aus :)
