I missed the latest attack, thank god. A good citizen just informed me of what had happened in one of my review threads. It seems that several bad things were involved.

I suppose it was a good thing I ran away from the majority of OT and GD threads recently, and stuck to the RP I've been in...

Someone was posting goatse.cx earlier. The troll had alt accounts, unfortunately.

You were there when the memorable escapists thread was attacked, correct? I called a meeting to mobilize and fight this and other trolls in an earlier post here. Read it, and PM me about arranging a thread to discuss possible courses of action.

I unfortunately missed the initial attack, but I spent the rest of the time going around cleaning up the threads that popped up if that's any consolation. The best plan of attack is if you see an obvious super troll problem like this again, report not only their post, but their profile as well. That seems to get rid of them faster.

One of the problems is it takes more than one report to get someone in the list to be reviewed. So we'd need a large amount of people on at any given time that are part of this task force. Also, I'm not sure the mods would approve of us doing their job (or attempting to).

That's essentially what we're doing when we report someone. I dunno, you'd have to PM a mod and talk to them about it before.

Quite sad that the community is getting bigger yet there are a lot of Trolls aiming to conquer the post count or maybe get their name up in lights.
Regardless there are still a lot of older (in terms of period of time on The Escapist) who are very active.
