But then that begs the question of what decides if we lived a good or bad life? Since living a good life is very much different in the west then in the east and also from now to say 500 years ago.piers789 said:Being a good ol' fashioned pessimist I don't believe in it but I was working on the assumption that it did exist...pffh said:And what about the current you? I'd say yes as you were once you (as it were). I suppose the next question would be whether, assuming the reincarnated you is reincarnated again, would the third reincarnation be another reincarnation of your first self or an new one of your second?
Ow, my head...
(This is assuming reincarnation is real even if not everyone believes in it bla bla bla)
Anyway, err... I have no idea. Would that work along the same principles as Karma in so much as if you led as good life previously would you be more likely to be a better person the next time round?
Would we decide ourselves if we lived a good or a bad life? => A person that believes he lived a good life gets rewarded but a person that believes he lived a bad life gets punished kinda thing.
Hmm maybe I should post that I in fact do not believe in reincarnation these are merely just random thoughts.
