I agree with Marsten. He comes off as a guy who's done horrible things, is trying to do his best, but just can't get away from his past. Very compelling...J03bot said:Thane Krios (ME2). I felt sorry for the guy. Damn you Bioware, and your well-crafted characters!
And probably John Marsten (RDR). Aside from occasionally accidentally shooting the wrong person whilst using the second level of dead-eye... But he comes across well as the reluctant hero, and seems strongly principled for an ex-outlaw. (Note: I haven't finished the game, so no spoilers if you're replying to me please!)
Oh, and Gordon Freeman. Going through all of that without saying a word? Exactly what I'd do. No exclamations of pain, no complaining when the combine start shooting the public, and definitely no vicious swearing when another gunship turns up or when the combine stole my buggy. Bastards.
