I intend to retire with a kick-ass pension courtesy of the NHS so when the dementia kicks in my kids have the money to ship me away to a cave somewhere with other old grannies like me.

Indeed, Max said it best regarding not being able to control your own bowels at that age, I wouldn't want that for myself, just give me a load of diomorphine (its delicious).

Also your family die young?, mine do too, all cancer related, they hit 40-50 and bang!

I'm a smoker myself, you know, being French, we are the worlds greatest smokers!.
Most of them.
Or, like I said, they live to old age but they're so mentally/physically incapable that there's just no point in living any longer.
oh god, I forgot about that, my family too, my dad got to 56 now, he's doing well for our family but he's Bi Polar, his mother and father before him were bi polar. And rumour has it its a genetic mental disorder.

If you don't know what Bi Polar is well its like Schizophrenic, but instead of multiple personalities at the same time they take over for a while, so for 6 months he thought he was a French Spy, if he gets to drunk he starts to act all "spyish".

We laugh at it sometimes because its difficult.

When I get too tired and stupid to continue making software, I will take up teaching, maybe at a community college. I make a point of saving money, but I don't realy have a retirement plan.

Retirement, eh? First, I need to find something from which to retire. Then, I will enjoy it as long as the fun lasts. Finally...I´m clueless. Maybe I´ll just sit down and watch everything I have achieved burn. There´s something for the future generations to think about.

So, in short, I have no plans.

Never slow down, never grow old.
But if do manage to survive 20 years in the Navy, I'll probably stick around till they boot me out. After that, you guys can pay my pension.

You can retire at anytime, it's all about having the cash to do so. Nothing wrong with getting a head start aquiring the cash at 21. You will be way ahead of everyone else. Just don't forget to smell the roses along the way!

Who knows, I doubt even at 65 I would call it quits on all my business ventures regardless of the wealth. The thrill would be too much and sitting around all day would eventually and rapidly become dull. Nevertheless if I make it beyond 65+ or hell even to 50, I will somewhat surprised. No health issues or anything, I just like to do crazy (in a normal sense, such as racing, sky diving) things and figure it'll be the death of me. :p
