I have not had more than a very casual interest in transformers.
I rented the (2007) Transformers movie.
It was one of the worst movies I've seen recently.
Even disregarding the connection to the transformers it was still a bad movie.

I won't be going to see another Michael Bay Transformers movie in theaters, nor will I be renting it.
In fact I won't pay to see any of Michael Bay movies(or even steal them), every single one I've seen was just bad.

Just because a movie sells in a 5 day period, doesn't necessarily mean it's a good movie.
It could have had a well-timed release date, had good marketing to help grow interest in the movie
or Michael Bay has a dedicated fan base?

Now let's not get carried away.
You're right, things are not getting that bad yet.

Michael Bay having a dedicated fan base...I believe that's one of the signs of the apocalypse.

The only redeeming quality of this movie was that I got to watch it in good company...and we enjoyed mocking it ceaselessly. It was absolutely terrible. The best thing about bad writing is that it gives you something to laugh at after a few drinks.

Before a few drinks, it just gives me a headache.

I have not seen this movie, but I bet I can summarize it.

Explosions. The end.
It would be nice if I could say you were wrong.

You were not. Also, nice avatar.

Michael Bay-splosions!!!!!
I loved the movie, the two "black" transformers cracked me up. And my theatre had a yellow 2010 Camaro outside so i got to take a pic with Bumblebee. Rad.
"You aint never eatin' me! I'm gonna bust up yo' face!"

That cracked me up. I loved this movie, I've never been more immersed and entertained by a movie in all my life. This is my favourite movie, and yes, I love Micheal Bay movies, there, I said it!

The movie is not bad. Those of you trying to pretend to be above the awesome explosions, robot fighting, and attractive girls can just stop. You know you enjoyed it and if you say you didn't, you are a lying ************.
High five!

Okay, you know what? I've changed my mind. There is a God, the only thing is, he hates us.

Why, Michael Bay? Why? I was ready to forgive you for your first Transformers film relying on explosions, brand recognition, and boobs, but not only have you done the same thing for the second, you included two racist caricature characters AND failed to provide a sensical plot.

I am very disappointed in you, Mr. Bay. Very disappointed indeed.

My reactions were very mixed. Screw that, I was exhausted and confused as hell when I left the IMAXX cinema. The film was filled with bad crude humour, racist stereotypes, one huge mess of a plot and some really bad dialogue. Although I have to admit, the special effects and action were great. Although it gets exhausting when you're watching all kinds of shit happening on the IMAX screen for TWO mind bleeding and HALF hours. In the final 20 minutes I just wanted the film to end. (Actually that was due to the fact that I had to go the toilet. BADLY. I drank a litre of coke and eat loads of popcorn.)

Well, I can't say I didn't see that coming. A lot of people truly don't care about good character development or plot, they just want to see... Giant robots, childish humor, CGI, and... *shudder* Shia LeBouf.

I swear that until I red this article I did not know that there were so many TF fans. I do not have a particularly soft spot for them but the 1st movie was a real surprise to me. Liked it, made fun of it with my buddies and in general it was a good way to pass the afternoon. Now if fanboys think that someone like Bay gives a rat's ass about you, well you are mistaken. Why? Cause you are not the majority. Most people just wanna see mindless fights and cars. This is a formula that has worked more than once(hence the Burnout series, except this one is good). I am a Spidey fanboy(if you didn't already know) and they didn't care when they shoved Venom at the last quarter of the the movie. Why? Cause the studios make the decisions. It made me mad, but I wasn't mad at Raimi. You wanna take it up with somebody? Take it up with Paramount. Do not point at Bay. He is just making a living. Yeah, he does it by slapping funboys to the face, but honestly, did you really think that since the first movie was such a moneymaker, Bay was gonna change the formula? He makes money, not good movies and that is a fact.

Do not go and say that the industry is dead. And yeah, maybe Moviebob was right. But he was also right about another movie. Wanna redeem yourself? Go see UP and do not ever ever EVAR tell me that the industry is gone with movies like UP being released.

Getting pissed at him makes no sense. Simply do not see it, rent it to bash it all you want when it comes out and by that time, pray that the 3rd movie will be less horrible. Cause let's face it, it will also suck. Get over it. Things change. Roll with them. If it wasn't Bay it was going to be somebody else.

Dearie me, this has raised quite the kefuffle, hasn't it?

The movie itself wasn't a crime against nature, it was just singularly unimpressive from a artistic standpoint. I think some of you in your fervour might be taking this a touch too seriously. So, why so serious?
Ha, good one. Made me smile. Histerically.

Transformers 2 most of the watchers = Blinded by CGI
The movie was worse then SST3 and SST3 is kinda bad. T2 got 38% in Meta. Too much fights not good plot. So generally 2/5 stars.
