Review: LittleBigPlanet 2

All the happy adjectives you know apply to LittleBigPlanet 2.

You forgot to mention that Stephen Fry narrates the intro and the tutorials. That in itself is worth a whole extra star in my opinion.
Americans aren't obsessed with Stephen Fry like the rest of the world is.
News to me and Americans I've known haha.

I feel like she understates just how robust the level creator is. They didn't make it to be a platform for making levels for a platforming game. They made it to be a platform to create ANY sort of game. I think I remember seeing in a GI preview once that one of the developers at Media Molecule had made a Command and Conquer clone at one point

I love LBP, and LBP2 is awesome too... but I personally like how the story is told in the first game better.

I don't like the cut-scenes and all felt a bit weird...

I also liked the worlds in LBP1 better.

But the player created content has been taken up several notches
Do you feel like the first one was a bit more light-hearted? That's the one big difference I felt between the two - LBP is a lot more adorable than LBP 2.
I thought the first game had more charm, but I still love the second more for all the new stuff they threw in.

Can you tell me a little bit more? I'm very interested in level creation, especially for platformers, and kind of want to see what the differences between LBP and LBP regarding the level design.

The creation tool in LBP2 is more robust, providing more options for control, AI, and general movement. So you can make a shmup, a platfomer, basketball, Lemmings...pretty much anything you can think of. You can even use the EyeToy and mic to add pictures and voice clips.

That's actually VERY EXCITING to me. I almost wished I didn't have to play the game so I can jump right into all the stuff the level editor could offer but these are the prices we pay. :)

They had that 2D platforming with Depth in Crash Bandicoot didn't they? Anyway I'm going to get this game because I need a platformer for my PS3 that isn't a damn Sonic game

I didn't notice the platforming issues this time around, that's just me personally.
I agree with you, they have significantly improved in LBP2.

I loved LBP1 and was sold within 40seconds of that video because Sackboy is wearing a FEZ!
And a bow tie. Because bow ties are cool. :)
as soon as I saw the bow-tie and fez i had the urge to buy the game, best reference to anything, ever!

...Dr Sackboy?? Okay, I'm not gonna lie: that has me a bit more interested in it. I've never checked them out before, but I might yet, for the fun of all this customization offered. Fascinating.

I love LBP2 it's awesome! I mean there is so much to do. It's not like most of the other games where you often stop play the game when you've completed the storyline (If not there's multyplayer). When you've completed the storyline in LBP2 you can just head over and play with your friends in over 3 million communitylevels! :D I have a lot of fun with this game and I recommend buying it!! :D
