Soooo... one 10.000$ hooker or 10.000 one $ hookers? Nah, I'll just blow it all on an OOOVVVEEERRRKKKIIILLLLLL[footnote]Best I could do to beat "overkill"[/footnote] PC with built in Xbox!

And as soon as you buy it Nvidia will release a new graphics card meaning you have to change four cards if you want to stay on top.

If I was to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a computer, it would be with OverDrivePC.

They've pretty much built a name for themselves as a PC Gaming boutique. Regardless, their systems are sleek and clean. Not too flashy. All business.

My rig is a custom rig, and it only cost me $1200 for a high end rig.

Or...you could spend 800 on a computer that can run any game (Yes, even Crisis) on ultra settings for the next 4 years or so, buy a 360, and then, the moment a game comes out that you can only run on very high, buy a computer that's as good as this, or better, for another 800. Identical experience, $15,000 less. This thing is awesome in theory, but pointless in practice, except as a way of parting the rich from their money

That's actually not a bad price. I was pricing out my ultimate computer (just in case I won the lottery), and will everything decked out, the price came to about $15,000. That's with 3 top of the line graphics cards, 24GB of RAM, 2 SSD hard drives RAID ready, and a 6 core processor amongst other things.
yea you can get some crazy prices if you pick the most expensive stuff like ssd drives, blu ray dvrs, ddr3 or 4 or whatever top of the line atm ram, etc etc,

sadly many 32 bit games wont even read over 2 gig of ram, 64 bit games are getting a tad more common and may use 4 gig of ram plus, but 8-12 gig of ram in any system is about all you need if you want to run 2 games at once encode video and watch some porn at the same time, and you can maybe turn off the disk cache if you want.

either way a good pc that will do everything that is out today and out in the next 5 years should not run you, even if you go insane more than 2 to 4 grand, you do not even need the top of the line most wiz video cards in it just 2 to 4 with 1 gig of ram each should kill any game out now or for the forseeable future.

after all pc game will not see a tremendous jump in graphic quality until the next gen of consoles are out and that will be another 3 or 4 years abouts. few pc exclusive games push the bounds of tech anyway with an eye of running on moderate systems well. about the only game that will push a decent pc now days is arma 2, and crysis, nothing out any time soon looks to even push the bounds of those 2 games graphically.

Oh hey guys, did you hear? Gary Oak invented a $100 super computer that has over 500 CPUs and over 9000 GB of RAM. It also comes with a infinite Hard-drive that never runs out of room!

WTF?

OT: I could buy a new car for that kind of cash. A new car even.

...I really need a car.

With the top graded version you could proberly play 5 nearly maxed out windowed games of crysis 2 and still have enough memory to play a game of solitaire whilst they load.

...not that you would want to
That the EXACT same thing I thought too! Except for playing Solitaire.
Well that was actually a cheeky reference from the deline of videogaming.

When this guy talks about playing 2 copies of Half life 2 and playing a game of solitaire while they are loading.

The video was made back in 2004 back when half life 2 was brand new and needed a top of the range Pc to run it.

...my how times do change!

For that money, I could make myself a rig to match any game for the next three years, get a PS3, 360, 32" monitor, 50" Plasma, a 7.1 surround system, and a three week holiday in, well pretty much anywhere. Plus, I'd still have enough change for a bath full to the brim with chocolate.
What a way to spend £14 000. Honestly, looking at my post, which one would you go for?
Exactly, you can build your own rig with twice the power for 1/5 of their asking price. They are trying to bait people who have no clue about computers with to much money.

You could also buy your own (near top of the line) server for less money...

by the way, my computers running i7 core, 12 GB ram, two 1GB crossfire video cards, 1TB drive (seriously, if you buy more space you are either 1; a tool, 2; the computer is for a corporation, 3; something illegal. Besides, a 2TB drive runs $180) 80GB SSD for the OS, Brand new mother board to hold all this together, all for around $1000. Crysis at maxed settings with no lag, hell yeas!

And it will still obsolete in three years
Oooooh, but it won't. The 360 will go for a whack yet and the PC will stick around longer than that almost empty deodorant can at the back of your bathroom cabinet.

Superb bit of work, I'd get one but... y'know, I'm a 16 year old that holds onto almost empty deodorant cans for years.

Crap, all I have is 17k, 100 is out of my price range!

OT: This is fucking ridiculous, and yet, I want one.

That's beyond overkill. Though to be fair you could have rounded it up to $20,000 and stuck the other two consoles and a couple retro wares in there too.

...What?
