Reporting from Arkansas, it's legal to make a right on red as long as there isn't a sign that says no. Is it smart? Not really...People around here drive like maniacs.
^Same, but I live in Western PA so as long as there's no sign that says you cant turn on red, or as long as there are ones that say no turn on red between 8 am - 4pm (which I never since fora good portion of that time the road will still be mostly empty), and its after the set time, you can turn on red.Gigaguy64 said:I live in Southeast Texas and as long as there are no signs that says "No turns on Red", you are allowed to make right turns on Red.
So you guys don't make left turns on red lights when it would appear safe to everyone (driver, oncoming traffic, pedestrians) then. Fair enough.Weslebear said:England here so red means stop, end of. I cannot comprehend how someone would think an exception to a rule like that would ever be a good idea.
Of course, we had to do something to counteract unleashing traffic lights.mikozero said:you have to consider what side of the road they drive on to understand why it works.Weslebear said:England here so red means stop, end of. Jeremy Clarkson calls turning right on a red light "America's only contribution to Western civilization"![]()
