It is downloading as I type.

Maybe I should donate to the creators... game feels a little cheap for a fun product.

I'll add it to the Christmas list. $1 is pretty good for achievements games.
It's an indie game - there're no achievements...

As for the person who asked if it'll be on PSN. Almost certainly not - it'll have been made with Microsoft's XNA studio.

Just because it's a buck doesn't mean you should get it. I remember getting that awful "i made a game with zombies in it" that was "only a buck". Sometimes, things are a dollar because they're...well, bad.

Feh, I'll probably still get it. Sounds good enough for $1.

People are getting this because they think they are heroes helping poor developers get some income for their games, but really look at this game, I would pay $1 for it maybe 6years ago and if it was on a hand held, To tell you guys the truth this game looks like it was made on RPG maker and I am sure if you go to the RPG maker forums or fan site you will be able to download a game just like this.

I would rather support games that are bringing new things to the game world like devils tuning fork I played that game and really liked it, this game on the other hand looks like a copy/paste of any RPG on the game boy color

Looks like a game that would be free if it was on PC but i guess this is the kind of thing console players are happy spending there money on
Then go download this game [http://www.remar.se/daniel/iji.php]. Here is the trailer to help you decide. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33mxD4FjD3w]

It's a free side scroller called Iji. It's made in the same vein of old NES style graphics. You play a metroid type character with upgradeable abilites/stats and weapons. It's a bunch of secrets, a secret level, and multiple endings dependent on how many people you kill. Multiple difficulties and a hacker minigame.

"Iji is an action-packed strategic platform shooter with a detailed story, large levels with multiple paths, powerful bosses and lots of secrets. There are alternate gameplay events, dialogues and scenes depending on what you do, a wealth of extras and bonus features, and seven stats to upgrade through a leveling system. Iji herself has superhuman strength and abilities, and can crack Nanotechnology, use her enemies' most devastating weapons against them, and be a pacifist or a killer - the story adapts to how you play." --> from Daniel's website

If that is not your thing... then try The Spirit Engine. [http://www.thespiritengine.com/news.html]. It used to be sold about two years ago and now the game creator has put it out for free. You can still donate cash to him if you feel his work deserves it. This one is an RPG side scroller.

Here is some gameplay videos [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3xPpM9m-BY&feature=related]

I've been looking for something to buy for months now! I've been stuck on 105 P for months now and I did not feel like buying a points card. Thank god I finally have something to buy. :D (Though now I only have 25 P, wtf?)

Am I the only one that thought the title for the review was leading to Altered Beast? "RISE... FROM YOUR GRAVE" "POWER UP!" oh how bad that game truly was, yet, so awesome in so many ways.

EDIT: Wait, somebody did mention Altered Beast. THANK YOU!

Yeah thanks for telling me this after I just bought an avatar t-shirt with the left over points I had from buying The Passing.
[sub] I hate you so much right now...[/sub]
Well that will teach you for wasting your money on avatar clothes. You had it coming really.
That's just mean.

If it comes to PS3, I will concider it.
Mostly cause there's a character with my name. :D I can add her to the very small list of people (Real AND fake) that carry my name.

Given how many fantastic games from all genres available at low prices these days I'm prepared to forgive exactly one fault of a cheap game, and that is a short length.

I am going to check out this game later, 6 hours for a buck sounds like good value provided it's not too grindy. I do always like to support indie developers.
That is just mean!
[sub]besides I had like 90 points left what the hell was I going to buy with 90 points?[/sub]
Anyway I'll buy this next time I have some left over points.

Just because it's from RPG Maker doesn't mean it's horrible, you couldn't get one of this quality on some fan website.
Also, I guess cave story isn't worth it's memory(I say memory because it's well free..) because it's pretty much a copy/paste of any rail shooter from the 90's.

Damn Australia and its lack of indie marketplace...

And how many times do you think he said the word "buck" in this article?
Seven, eight if you include 'sawbuck'.

I would surely get this if I were motivated enough to hook my 360 up to the internet.
I should refer you to the thread on really nerdy things to do. Actually counting this qualifies, methinks.

Oh, and for those that haven't played this yet. It's fun if you like NES-style RPGs.

Once/If it gets released in Australia, you can count on it costing you TWO BUCKS!!
