It's all you damned dirty Austrailians. If it weren't wasn't for you guys making the Lord of the Rings movies, I'd regret saving you all in the Korean War World War II.

(heres a little game. Point out 6 things wrong in this sentance and you win)
Lord of the Rings was filmed in NZ.
You're too young to have fought in World War II.
I win?

Also, I can't wait to see how Australia's views on censorship change on September 9th, or before then if they're smart.

Congratulations!

I'm getting this just so I can smoke a lot of that drug and gain massive exp.
That's just stupid though, to ban a game like that.

They will ban this because of the implied drug use and the fact you can hit up a prostitute, but Fable 2 is ok even though it implies sex and allows you to beat your spouse. This is ridiculous I'd gladly buy the game and send it to a fellow Aussie gamer, so they can play an awesome game without the idiotic governments interference.

Oh come on, you live in a place where everything from the bugs to the heat to the KOALAS can kill you.

I'd think they'd want to train people how to stave off these horrible things.
Ohh we know, but our government is like that overbearing protective mother, we canna fethin urinate without her worrying about disease, injury and that bloody redback on my toilet roof...
on another note ...
Koalas dont kill people, unless they have to.............

We all knew it was going to happen. Good thing it's easy, and often times cheaper, to import games.

Only until the government starts blocking the websites that allow you to do so with their new unbreakable-filterwall-that-is-not-as-leaky-as-China's.

Doesn't this just further spread piracy? People who wanted to get the game now can't so they will fire up Bittorrent and will have it soon after it is released in other countries. In fact, isn't the government hurting itself besides the game industry as the games could be taxed?

I don't understand the Board sometimes. I have no interest in this game but banning it because of a drug called brugleweed? Laughable. They obviously overlooked games like Far Cry 2 where you use more morphine than a hospital goes through in a year because WHY?! exactly?
Wish they'd make up their minds. If the Game is rated MA15+ what's the bloody issue? Becuase kiddies get their hands on it? That's a whole other argument. Shit, They can learn from it. Play Far Cry 2 and you have basic Field Medic training... kinda.

It really makes no sense after Underbelly got an M rating. For those of you in other countries, Underbelly had frequent sex, frequent violence, frequent drug use, frequent course language, frequent nudity and was still just M-rated! and they're banning a game for implied sex and drug-use! I think we should examine the Classification board because this is implying they're drug-users, its the only way they can be so fucking hypocritical.

I like how fable 2 had prostitutes. Plenty of them, yes it was all censored, but that doesn't mean it is not sexual content regardless. It also had them as part of a quest where you hired one for a guy. Similar story perhaps?

Eh.. its pointless classifying a game really. The most immature young ones will think a MA15+ game (or R+ when it finally comes to that) is better than a G rated game just because they are not allowed to technically be playing it. For example, ninja gaiden 2 would be the best thing since sliced bread for them, when to others it depends on what they like. Whereas games like Scribblenauts would be seen as 'childish' and (mind me saying) 'for pussies'.

Really, you can tell you are partially mature when blood, gore, guts, sex and language can be in a good game, not part of one.

Hadn't even heard of this game...

But now that the govt has banned it, might give it a try.

Well at least it seems to be easily fixed. They will probably do what fallout did and change the drug use. Why would drugs give you experience anyway. I reckon if they changed it so drugs gave you negative experience then It would be accepted. That's is very easily fixed. Still bullshit however. Now that I am 18 I reckon I should intensify my hatred of that attorney general that's stopping the R18+ rating.

Wow, this game which I utilise as a realistic simulation of real life events and consequences is showing me that if I smoke prohibited substances, some magic unseen number determining my maturity in real life will raise by several points! I should most definately try to acquire some of these "drugs" tomorrow, as then I will become a better person!
Oh my, the simulation-and-certainly-not-a-probably-pointless-gameplay-feature now seems to be implying that my character is having intercourse with a preprogrammed cluster of pixels in the shape of a promiscuous woman. I believe it is telling me, by extension, that I should now go and rape lots of women.
Hot diggity, I'm sure glad I have video games here to tell me how to life my life properly, because otherwise I would surely die and be forced to return to my last checkpoint! [/sarcasm]

Honestly Mr. Atkinson, grow up.

I could understand why they wouldn't let small kids play this game, I wouldn't mind myself but still, I get it. What I don't understand is why they just won't make a Mature or 18+ sticker and slap that on the game. Why don't they even trust adults with this?

They did the same with Fallout 3, the developers just changed a few things.

It aint that bad sort of understand it because i seriously wouldnt want a 12 year old playing a game were you were forced to have sex, although if it was like Nova off Fallout 3 and nothing was really seen then yeah it is stupid.

Australia doesn't have it that bad, seriously your comparing us to communist China now >.>

So what if Australia gets a few games here and there banned it aint the end of the world
