I checked the search bar and couldn't find anything like this.
When I was around seven years old I was robbed. Luckily I only loss my Playstation 1.
My question is was you ever robbed/mugged/pickpocket and what did you lose?
No flame wars please.

A man tried to mug me, but it turns out all he had was a knife and my friend's extensive skill in disarming people made us scare him and he ran away.

Never happened to me, fortunately. My brother, on the other hand, was robbed while he was living on his own. His systems, CDs and games were all taken.

Ive been mugged 3 times, 2 of them resulted in me getting my ass whooped, and one of them ended up in a trip to the hospital, i still have a large scar across the left side of my face from the knife.

Never happened to me, I do live in one of the safest parts of Britain, but my Aunt, who lives in London, got mugged twice I think.

I was in an attempted mugging, once. Poor fellow didn't realize that I was carrying a bokken in that duffle bag. I'd suspected something already, so I had my hand on the handle of the sword inside the bag. I hear the guy running to catch me by surprise, pull out my bokken, smack him across the face, sheathe it in one smooth movement, and walk away. Dunno what happened to him, but I haven't been mugged in this neighborhood since.

Never been robbed and never plan to that's what the shotgun on a string pointed at the door is for and the bear traps under every window.

Some jackass stole the radio out of my broken-down car, but I've never been pickpocketed or mugged.

Maybe those guys feel the same intimidation that my friends feel when they see me. I'll never get over how people I know are intimidated by me when they know I'm on their side.

When I was really young somebody broke into our house, and all he stole was my piggy bank! It had 67 bucks in it, which is like a million dollars to a kid. Luckily a cop found the guy and my piggy bank, but he punched her in the face. Anyway, happy ending, he went to prison.

We got robbed once, they stole my brothers Ipod, and my mum's handbag. The irony is that they took the stuff out of it and dumped the handbag at the side of the road, where we retrieved it later. the handbag was italian, and was worth more than all the stolen goods combined. such is the folly of ignorance. still, we had to change our locks because they'd stolen the keys to our cars and house...

a shining beacon of hope to justice! but still, my friend has a bokken, i held it in my hands and it was freakin' heavy, made of ebony wood which would be illegal to obtain within britain. that guy definitely would have felt it afterwards, seeing as a bokken weighs just as much as the real thing...

I'm still trying to find out what "flame war" means. :D
Right now I think it's either trolling or just plain arguing but I doubt it's either of them.
After seeing some people on the escapist having the habit of saying that at the end of their post on their thread, it became a habit of mine :S

Never been robbed, but I'd imagine it'd make me -pretty pissed-. I can only imagine my faith in humanity sinking even lower than it is.

That said, a friend of mine was robbed once. It was his convenience store; the robber was basically trying to 'run away', but my friend hired a bodybuilder-ish guy to take him on. They kind of struggled; it was weird for me to see, cause I was only 9 or 10. The robber eventually got away, but I don't know if the cops got him or anything.

Personally-My car was broken into about six months ago. They stole a book of 100 cds, and a knife. They left my Oscar De La Renta sunglasses though, haha ignorant b*stards!! Most of the CD's were over 10 years old and pretty much worthless, but the knife will cost a little over a hundred to replace. :(

Professionally- I was working the graveyard shift at 7-11 and was held up twice(not in the same night). The first time, it was with a gun and second time, it was with a knife. Both of the guy were desperate and just took off as soon as I gave them the register drawer. "rolls eyes" I don't know why they even bothered. The 7-11 I was working at had cameras everywhere and five panic buttons all with in easy reach, and don't keep more that $50 bucks in the drawer. Both of the guys were caught by the way.
