"Robocop Suffers Unforeseen Ocean Depth"

Man, I'm way too tired to read stuff right now. Anyway, pretty cool.

Oh, and I think the term is silt, not mud Klutz. I could be wrong though.
Mud and silt are pretty much the same thing so the terms can be interchangable. Sorry, I swear I'm not being picky, it's because I'm a geologist (yay for rocks!). The stuff on the abyssal floor they'd find down there actually would more likely be a radiolarian ooze (best sediment name ever!).

If they found a megalodon it would be AWESOME, but it wasn't a deep-sea shark so I guess we'll just have to settle for C'thulhu.

Hokay, the betting pools are open. Odds are as follows:

100:1 - Jormandgund
52:1 - Atlanta
50:1 - Atlantis
30:1 - The funky pacifist aliens from "The Abyss"
27:1 - Cthulhu
21:1 - Gungans
15:1 - Mermaids / Tritons
10:1 - Elasmosaurus or other "sea monster" style dinosaurs
8:1 - Godzilla
6:1 - Kraken
5:1 - Megalodon
3:1 - Sally Struthers

A bet of $1 earns you $3 if you bet on them finding Sally Struthers down there, a pretty safe bet since most whales have returned to the oceans.
Ill take $10 on Godzilla.

Also, if I do see a Gungan appear in one of those pics, I will launch a solo expedition to hunt down every last one of them.
Any creature that can single handedly ruin a Star Wars trilogy is too dangerous to be kept alive.

The ocean is almost like another planet, as the creatures that live in it are so strange when compared to us. I look forward to seeing what interesting pictures this new technology may find at the bottom of the ocean.

I bet everything on the Kraken.

Come on, the Kraken deserves respect.

Yeah, like some strange alien planet covered in water... except it's our planet. Which is more or less covered in water. Strange.

I'll put $20 on Jormundgand.
