How about a Lamb of God album like Wrath? It got to third on the Billborad charts. Thats fucking impressive for a modern metal band in the US.FloodOne said:Rockband has a ton of metal, but I agree with you. More metal is necessary.CORRODED SIN said:So we get to use what the "real" singers use?

And don't release one of Pantera's worst albums when you have Vulgar Display of Cowboys From Hell to choose from Harmonix. That's just stupid.

People are screaming gloom n' doom without even reading the damn tin. It's an option for the people who just want to rock out and sound good at the same time. Definitely easier on my ears at least."Rock Band 3 provides players with the option to enable vocal effects commonly used in the music industry, assisting players to sing on key more easily with pitch correction and bringing the tools that pros use into the living room," said a Harmonix representative.
I wasn't aware sounding like a bitchy gay robot sounded good. (point for reference)Jumplion said:People are screaming gloom n' doom without even reading the damn tin. It's an option for the people who just want to rock out and sound good at the same time. Definitely easier on my ears at least.

I guess it just depends on the situation. We also have to keep in mind Rock Band 3 isn't coming out for a while, I'm sure Harmonix has a way to implement it.Jumplion said:[sup]I just realized we have the same subject matter in our usernames...[/sup]Lionsfan said:I wasn't aware sounding like a bitchy gay robot sounded good. I doubt they'd be using the technology that heavily, and I don't really see a problem. A clear, gay sounding robot is better than a drunk, screaming, ear-bleeding guy who can't sing (though those moments do have their place).
It doesn't sadly. But, it has to appeal to as many people as possible, and not everyone likes music that fall under the metal genre.CORRODED SIN said:So we get to use what the "real" singers use?

Awww yeah, fantasy becomes reality!John Funk said:But on the plus side, maybe this means I'll finally get to fulfill my lifelong wish of playing a music game where I get to sound like T-Pain [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avaSdC0QOUM].
Not this time around it seems, being fair though there are still a fair few songs left to announce so we can only hopeCORRODED SIN said:So we get to use what the "real" singers use?

I understand it comes with a player piano and hundreds of feeds!AceAngel said:Rock Band 4: The game will play for you while you have sex...
Uh, these games were never about musical ability. It's for people who want to play along to some songs, and pretend they're rockstars. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, it's great fun, and it's escapism like any other game. But it was never about making people better musicians (except for drums maybe). That's what actual instruments and bands are for.whaleswiththumbs said:2 things.
Does anyone else just talk the singing parts sometimes? Just in a music-y quality?

So instead of putting some form of quick vocal training for an option, we're going to further the diminish of music games, not that they were going to come back, you just don't have to bolt the coffin we were nailing.
