The question here is, wtf is mtv doing talking bout video games? Well, they gave up on the MUSIC part of mtv a long time ago so why not I guess.

PS. A bunch of guys that make video games all day complaining about working conditions, you can tell these asshole have never done ONE day of hard labor.

Just because they choose to use their minds rather than their hands doesn't make their work any less hard. There can be more to a satisfying life than digging holes or cementing bricks together.

Because doing hard labor validates complaining about working conditions relative to what your work actually is, right?

I mean, I could complain about working in a Burger King, but I haven't bricked a house, so I've not the technical knowledge required.

The conditions they are talking about aren't specified, so who knows what they are complaining about. MY point is, there are worse jobs out there.

Yea but it's called work for a reason no? No matter how academically prepared one may be work means they are gonna exploit your ass and get as much productivity out of you as they can. And being more academically prepared than others should tell you that the job you are doing will require a certain amount of sacrifice on your part.

That is really funny, but you have to wonder why they thought releasing those was a good idea. Doesn't diminish the humor value though!

As if I needed a reason to hate Rockstar. Somebody fire their PR department
And people call Microsoft evil, even they have more sense than these guys

They could have waited until the situation cooled dowen

If any humor was made, I'm sure it was accidental by Rockstar, after playing Grand Theft Auto 4 they seem to be enjoying the super serious stuff lately. Which is why Saints Row 2 is my new GTA.

While the situation the employees of Rockstar may or may not be in is not humorous, a comparison of a development studio to Sauron is ridiculous.

Since Sauron is an allusion to Hitler, it's pretty much the fantasy nerd's Godwin's Law. The comment deserves to be made fun of.

Seems pretty vindictive to me. You just got feedback your management style isn't working and you risk a high staff turnover. So... you spend time and effort poking fun at the situation rather than fixing it.

Should we be gathering a fellowship to take Rockstar NY down?
Yes we should. The Fellowship Of The GAMEPAD!

Making fun of the situation in which they are likely to be the "bad guys" does not strike me as a smart move.

So.... Basically the guys in San Diego are bitching because they were told to do work? Maybe they should go work for a Japanese company and see how it compares. Worse pay, more stress, even less time at home, oh... and no credit for anything. Don't forget, most nations encourage individuality and personal success. Unfortunatly, Japan has a group mentality, and generally dissaproves of people trying to be exceptional.

Cry me a goddamn river San Diego and get back into your cubes.

NOTE: Yes, I know I sound like an ass, but guess what... That's what I'm aiming for.
