I'm only really rude to my friends over Xbox live. Generally shooting and tea bagging each other but only for fun. But I would never do it to some random person.

Halo Reach. Glitch gave me a splazor (and this was on infinite ammo) on what was supposed to be a melee only map. Splazor is my best heavy weapon by a long shot (buh dum tish) and I proceeded to destroy everyone. 25kills, 0 deaths.

Also: L4D2. I got betrayed by an arsehole who didn't know how to use an automatic weapon... and then met him in the next game I joined. He takes a hilarious matrix jump onto the ledge I was standing on, hit the very edge but was on, and then it was Spit Jar to the face and melee him off. Watching his character get mauled was sadistically satisfying.

Vocally? I'm not abusive in the slightest, and I consider my microphone to be useless 9/10 times, and the other time is on Bad Company 2 when you're actually planning out offensives and whatnot.

I'm try not to be rude to anybody when gaming. I'm usually always silent, I don't really see much of a need to communicate much when I do play multiplayer and if I'm playing a class based game like TF2, I'll actually try to play my class right and keep an eye out for my teammates.

I don't usually get a lot of rude people when I'm playing online over PC, but I have got a ton of rude little tweens consistently over Xbox Live which is why I refuse to game online on that platform anymore. No matter what game I jumped into (Perfect Dark: Zero, Halo, GTA 4, etc) I've been and heard people be on the end of the tween insult spree just spewing every obscenity known to man, gaybashing people who aren't or don't even flaunt their sexuality.

By far the worst of the worst over Xbox Live for me was GTA 4 when some tween kept screaming and crying and trying to insult me because I would not stand still and let him rack up kills on me without fighting back.

Granted the worst experience I ever had in a game with people was the attitude of a majority of the community in world of warcraft when Cataclysm came out. I knew the community was pretty bad before then but after that expansion its like blizzard let loose the flood gates and all these rude, belligerent, and downright nasty people were now 99% of the vocal community. One of the many many reasons I quit playing that game.

Now I just mostly play games with my friends online over pc, even going so far as to gift them copies of games over steam I think they may be interested in to play through together.

I dunno if this is rudeness, but although I have a high threshold for frustration, when the line is crossed, the change in me is immediate and noticeable. I've screamed at my TV at the top of my lungs (I live in a apartment building with a lot of kids, I get dirty looks from neighbours), whipped controllers across the room (nearly hitting people or breaking things) and put my fist through at least 2 separate walls in pure frustration. All kinds of randomness. I don't know what it is. I can play a game for hours (and hours) on end, but there's a point where getting beaten by a fucking game for the umpteenth time is too much to take and I'll completely flip my shit. These outbursts are so sudden and uncharacteristic that I tend to scare the shit out of the people in the room and they flee so they won't get hit with flying plastic. Nothing else gets this reaction out of me, not to this degree anyways, only video games. There's something about losing to an artificial system that is most likely cheating (especially on harder difficulties) for hours on end that makes me want to start breaking teeth on doorknobs. And that last bit is not an exaggeration. I snap, see red, do something really violent/loud with little to no control and immediately calm down.

Smash Bros. Melee was really bad for it. The only character I couldn't beat every mode on the hardest difficulty was Pichu, I could never make it through All-Star mode. I had the game fucking BEATEN in every way except for Pichu in All-Star mode on the hardest difficulty. I tried for months, breaking 2 controllers (one of which was borrowed, oops) and nearly ripping the disk out of system and snapping it half out of frustration (thankfully I caught myself). That game has produced more spontaneous acts of rage out of me than anything I've ever encountered.

I'm rude to the people who camp with snipers on offensive in Bad Company 2. It's just so... stupid.

I haven't got seriously angry at anything game-related for a few years though. I think that's for the best.

I'm not rude to other people, but I attack my PC a lot because of problems in games.

For example, less than an hour ago in TF2 I got bled via Tribalman's Shiv and the game lagged for several frustrating seconds as I was quickly killed. Yeah, that's where I start foaming and beating my keyboard.

I've teabagged people, but that's hilarious (honestly, I've nearly been in tears before whilst doing it, I find it that funny), not rude.

Once on CSS though, I challenged a guy to a knife fight since we were the last two in a round, but when I dropped my gun I did it in the air so that I could catch it again and shoot him. I think that's basically a war crime in CSS.

I don't think I've ever been abusive to anyone. Apart from the aforementioned sex and war crimes, obviously.

Ooooh, no! I've forgotten my finest hour! On Left 4 Dead 2 I'd gotten majorly fucked up at the start of the last campaign, so was low on health, and my other team mates had all healed and picked up the safe house medpacks too. I must have asked 5 times for someone to heal, but no one did, so I waited for one to run out of the door, he got caught out by zombies, and then I shot the other two in the back whilst he was getting fucked. All 3 were down, I teabagged the living shit out of the ones I'd shot in the safehouse (tee-hee), and then I disconnected before they could all vote to kick me.

Its called co-op for a reason, bitches.
Yes, it is worse than a war crime, I've been challenged to knife fights and shot, at least 3 times, it's godawful annoying and makes you want to reach through and choke the life out of that player.

Having said that though, I have also been a prick in L4D games, when some stat-whore player goes charging ahead of everyone else to pick off the most infected, and ends up trapped by a hunter/smoker/charger whatever, I tend to let 'em get hammered for a while and remember not to be a hero before I rescue =P

In the days of CS 1.6 rudeness and douchebaggery became so prevalent it's quite hard to remember any single one that stuck out though...can't be as bad as modern day CoD XBL games I'm sure

It's hard to pick a special occasion when you're always "rude", though there's no such thing as rude, only opposite mannered imho.

I start every Starcraft 2 game by calling the other player a ninnyhammer and wishing death on his or her offspring. In a more brash manner than what I just wrote, though.

Already made a post here, but I just remembered a recent event so heres another:

On the 21st, when the "rapture" was happening, I had a friend on facebook who was seriously freaking out about it because he's an idiot. I spent the day spamming ALL of his status updates that had something about the rapture (probably about 50 of them...) with this cover of [a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3yLtnNF6yM"]It's The End Of The World As We Know It by The Suicide Machines[/a]

I also made a several different groups for the rapture and invited him to each one lol.

It was dickish, but oh so funny.

I enjoyed teasing a new pilot on Ace Combat 6. Slowing down my maneuvers to let him get a lock, or a bead on my six. Then opening a can of whoopass on him just as he thinks victory is in reach, laughing hysteriacally as him the entire time. I won than match 18 - 0, and just couldn't stop teasing him through the mic. Not sure if it counts, seeing as how he was trashtalking before the match, but whatever.

I was in a Halo: Reach Grifball match with a kid that couldn't be any older than 6 and calling people "faggots" and "shitheads" and swearing arbitrarily just to swear. So I started team killing him while guarding my team's goal, like killing him repeatedly. He actually started crying and you could hear his father in the background yelling at him, "If you're going to cry over the game then turn it off. Turn it off!" This was followed by a "Nooooooo I do---", and he was gone.

Kinda felt bad, but seriously... I felt like it was future troll prevention.

Also... winning any match of any online game and using the phrase "Hey guys... You got Caged!" seems to be taken as a horribly rude thing. It's like ten times worse than "U mad bro?"

Oh god, I flipped my shit on this one guy who was camping in our spawn on offensive Isla Inocentes.

He didn't have any kills by the end of the match, and his reply to my incredibly abusive message was, "I couldn't see anyone, what did you want me to do?"

I sat down, and just stared at my screen for about 5 minutes.
Isla Innocentes is easily my least favourite map for exactly that reason. It makes me want to cut people.

Never mind the fact that people only ever seem to use the helicopters for failure and kamikaze strikes...

I joined a deathmatch on Resistance: Fall of Man halfway through, and promptly won the game. Anyway, the guy who HAD been winning until I showed up sent me a really abusive message telling me I was a "****** **** with no friends". I just sent him one back with a smiley face.

I've encountered many rude people while playing a game. Most of them would either call me horrible names because I killed them and/or they would camp together and kill me. Suppose they can't take it that a girl killed them. Which is usually the case with me. -.-

But I'm not rude to others while I play. I do get angry and may throw a controller though. xD Granted, I may have been rude to my boyfriend a few times when we play together but nothing too serious that I remember. Lol.
