Rule 15: Not every Xbox comes with a mic. =\

17: Some people have better things to spend that $15-$20 on.
Well, if you got the Core/Arcade package (which are the only ones that DON'T come with mics), you shouldn't be playing online anyways.

Then they shouldn't go on co-op. Sure it may not be that important to you, but to other people, communication is a priority. Also, you can get cheap ones for like 8 bucks. It's not a goddamn boat.
Why not? This isn't sarcastic or anything but I don't have an xbox. I was just wondering what the difference was.... =]

Ok, maybe it's not that you SHOULDN'T be playing on Live with a Core/Arcade, but they weren't meant for Live play.

Rule #21: Camping under any circumstances is grounds for being tea-bagged, called a *****, and/or kicked from a lobby.

I've got one for you BaronXS:

#) Fill the roles that the team needs, now what you class that "you're pro at"

I find this is the case in TF2 or BF all the time - if you need a class archetype that isn't on the field, don't tell other people to swap their class, do it yourself! If you don't want to change, keep your mouth shut and play on.

18. A cheap move is exactly that- a cheap move. Not a pro tactic. Know the difference.
Fuck you. A legitimate strategy is a legitimate strategy, and you can cry some more if you can't protect yourself against it rather than calling it cheap.
Well someones a little bit bitter about the term "cheap move".

I think he was going along the lines of Exploits. I agree that if it works, don't fix it - but many just play to rack up a kill count rather than enjoy so they use whatever tactic necessary to achieve that, whether it's camping, noob tubing (yeah I used the word n00b), and so on.

I think it's more of the "petty attitude" to reaping kills. Hah, I often whip out the n00b tube just to see people whinge about it. I enjoy using it, and they never nerfed or took it out of the game, so it's still a legitimate weapon and it is a load of fun.

team killing is the only fun part of halo... besides infection with friends...
thph... constantly staging 'accidents' focusing on one guy, is MUCH harder than anything anyone playing that game can throw it you lol...
I cannot describe how much I hate people who teamkill for fun, they truly are the worst form of troll.

Teamkilling as a joke is acceptable though it should only be done when the outcome of the game cannot be affected.

So, if I broke one of these rules, what will you do to me? Kind of pointless to set "rules" that means nothing to people. I doubt the people who "breaks" the "rules" will change their ways from a forum thread.

Nothing. I made this list for fun. But people like you take it to seriously.

I don't take it seriously... like I said, I'm pretty sure nobody will change due to this thread. Also, the reason I posted was because I was bored, just like you.

These rules are more fun.

1A. Team kill, explaining to the rest of your team that the teammates you killed had aids and you did it to save the team, after all who wants the aids?
1B. If they do not believe you scream there be dragons I must slay them and kill the non-believers.
2. If in a game where there are traps that kill players you should encourage the other players to run face first into them, general encouragement given is ?You will get a rocket launcher and 9001 points if you run into the boulder/floor that breaks, ect.?
3. Encourage the little kids who talk on mic to delete system 32, it is after all a virus and you should really get rid of it. (On XBOX just tell them to remove the hard drive from the box and put it in the micro-wave or something, be creative.)
4. Enjoy the game! People that whine about how pro they are and how moves are cheap need to be griefed until they ragequit the game, after all who needs them you will have more fun without them.
5. Blocking can be your friend! Spend time annoying other players with blocking them (this is best done with friendly fire off.) then point out that they really shouldn?t take the game so seriously . (Beware most gamers on the interwebs will get really butthurt at this.)
7. When someone is talking about how there day went, it is always good to remind them that this is a game(CSS, L4D, Halo3, whatever.) not days of our lives. Then talk over them for good timez. (bonus points If the person ragequits.)
8. Admins are boss battles, they have overpowered attack moves and one that can instant KO you and your party be prepared!

I got to the first sin and couldnt read on - item poaching infuriates me beyond belief. I had to have a moment.

Ahhh thats better - fun atricle thanks man. Last night I played halo 3 wioth my friends we all logged in as guests and somehow I was on the other - my other 3 teammates quit on me, it was the bomb level - my friends tried to humiliate me - they got rockets to the face!!!! if it was team slayer I could have still won :p

Nonsense, you always want to talk as loud as you can on mic. Music is even better still! It drowns out the voices of your retarded team mates and really the rest of the team can play some tetris -curseremoved-

15. If you are playing a co-op game, a mic is required (while following rule #14), unless under the extreme case in which you cannot acquire one. However, this excuse is impossible to be applied on XBox, since the XBox itself comes with a mic.
16. If you have lost anything pertaining to the game, especially mic(s), get a new one ASAP.
17. If you cannot afford one, you are either lying or homeless. Scratch that, you're lying.
What if I'm a mute and cannot talk? I'm not... but I can imagine games being something a mute would do as it requires no communication.

A lot of people go around saying oh you can't play this without a mic these days, which is silly as we've done just fine for years with keyboards.

Hell, when I used to play WoW one of the guild requirements was a mic, but I never had one plugged in cause the only person talking was the raid leader. If I'm honest, half the time I had him on mute to listen to music cause the tactics are a breeze once you've got a fight down and warlocks and I wasn't healing or tanking apart from shadow tanking (then I had his volume up).

what? screw that, if you die you get teabagged. end of story.

and only noobs get made when people call em noobs ^_^
+1
play shit the old school way.there will always be whiners anyway. if people get offended and go off to the net and write rules lists, let them. in the end, your just generating excuses for the losing team/players
