Apple? Must you?
Pretty soon, the world will be controlled by Disney, Google, and Apple.

You know... With apple in charge, EA might start to make some better games.

and thats saying something.
I wouldn't imagine saying so.
In my opinion, nothing of particular amazing quality comes from Apple, just a lot of 'Meh' with good advertising.

I can see how it would be any interesting acquisition. Apple needs a new stream of income to compete at a higher level, and with EA, they could possibly do some interesting things. I'm no fan of Apple, but from a business sense, it could be a good move.

I'm actually hoping that M$ buys EA out of this mess if Apple is the other option. ...Imagine what Mass Effect 2 would look like if Apple were in charge...

Does this mean that I'll have to spend at least 1500 dollars, just to get a half-decent gaming computer? I got my PC for 800 dollars and I love it.
nope because unlike "Microsoft" mac its not trying to make things exclusive of the OS ... its just doing business and making it available for all the OS will be a better business for everyone...

also a Macbook its a boys best friend...
We can see examples of microsoft doing this everywhere, how dare they use different video/audio formats to mac (different yet parralell) and those devious bastards even use there own software for rendering. Oh, and those bastards at microsoft make sure that all games are completely, 100% microsoft exclusive, especially the ones they don't have any part in developing or publishing. And don't get me started on how they set the industry standard with microsoft office and refuse to let people on other operating systems use it (unless of course these people on other O/Ss decide to install it..).

What we need is less of microsoft forcing their software on us, and more of apple letting us liberally choose the software we use, we can how apple never limit the software we use with the ipod systems, it would be completely unlike them to restrict use of software/hardware they own.

Knock out Disney and that doesn't sound too bad.
If Disney died and went to the deepest layer of hell freshly reserved for it (not Walt Disney, though he was a megalomaniac Nazi...I'm not one to judge individuals) all the world would be better.
Till the little clause in Disney's pact with the devil detailing the end of the world should Disney die is realized....
EDIT: Maybe I shouldn't have said that...

Don't even joke about that! I don't even want to think about having to buy a Mac just to play Sims...
Seriously, I would probably die knowing I couldn't play Sims 3 when I've been waiting for it for the longest time

I dont think they should be allowed to complete such a take-over.
If i was the competition commission i would likely find such a buyout anticompetitive.

Just reeks of pretension.

Remember when Microsoft said they were eyeing up Nintendo? This is about as likely as that, although maybe more possible considering EA's ruthless streak.

I laughed then, and I'll laugh now.

You're better off without this 'games for windows live' bullshit. Those are all published by ms. And still, let's not try and pretend apple software is any better. They are hardly renowned for letting other systems use there software (I'd really like to be able to install mac OS on my desktop, but they won't let me *sadface*)
