Rumor: High Definition Metal Gear Solid Trilogy Coming to PS3

I really hope they refine the controls a bit.

I loved Snake Eater, but damn was shooting a pain in the ass.

I just hope they have the MGS 3: Subsistence camera for the MGS3 HD remake.

I have the first MGS from the Playstation store and I doubt they can make it look that much prettier, so MGS3 is the only game I'd interested in. But I'm not even touching it if they still have that shitty camera in place.

I couldn't agree more. Actually a re-release in HD would greatly benefit in being the substance + subsistence versions. I'm sure that would coax a lot more pennies from people's pockets, and there's really no reason why they shouldn't.

Yeah, I can't go back to MGS3 if they don't have that camera.

If they do remake the first one then they had better not use the twin snakes audio and voice as damnn that was shite, no other word for it but if they do then meh I've got the original discs still in mint condition after all these years case has seen better days though lol

I would buy this in a heartbeat. I have MGS2 and 3, but I seem to have lost my PS2, and my PS3 doesn't have backward compatibility. If it had the original MGS and Twin Snakes, I would make some noises of happiness men should not be allowed to make...

If they did go through with re-releasing everything and they included everything from MGS3 Subsistence, technically they'd be remaking the first two Metal Gears.

Also Konami would sure as hell be getting my hard earned cash.

I'd like to see this happen too. Sure I own all the games but with a collection I can retire the old disks.

Trophies would be a nice touch too, something that MGS4 still doesn't have. That and I like collecting them.

Plus think of how much easier Twin snakes would be to play on a Playstation controller

What if they chose to fully update the graphics to PS3 standards(doubtful)

A big selling point for me would also be if they actually took the time and had the guts to put in the content they cut out of MGS2 because of 9/11. From what the original script for the game said that would have made the ending so much better because you can tell that there are things missing. The WTC notwithstanding of course but they could edit that out easily. Or keep it in that wouldn't bother me, because I know the game is a work of fiction.

There aren't many games I'd buy twice, but the Metal Gear Solids... actually, I wanted to play a bit of MGS3 today. I might just do that.

I don't mind the whole "remake saga in HD for current systems", but I would vastly prefer a remake of the first two Metal Gear's.
