Are giant one armed thugs going to be in large supply in Arkham City? From that picture I was hoping it would be a sort of mini-boss, the kind of weird criminal the Joker would select. If we have to fight "One armed Joker thug", "One armed Two-Face thug" and "One armed Penguin thug" as regularly as we fought those Titans last game, I'll be slightly annoyed.
Is losing an arm an entry requirement? It seems unlikely that everyone would have one under employ.
I was wondering this, but looking at the 2 one armed guys, they both are missing opposing arms. I'm thinking there is some sort of story where the 2 were in an accident/joined in some way, and that these 2 are some sort of lieutenant in differing gangs.

There's a villain named Calendar Man? To Wikipedia!

Five minutes later...

Erm...K. A scrub enemy, probably will be used for comic relief.

Anyway, I just wish they would re-think character models so everyone doesn't look so swollen and lumpy.

I just want Clay-Face. He's like the T-1000 of Batman villains. Sure it would be pain to animate well, but I can dream, can't I?

From the trailer, it seemed like he's the boss of a gang. (He's walking through a courtyard with hundreds of gang members off to either side.)

The Titan spam was kind of annoying, though.

Clayface was in Arkham Asylum. I forget which room it was in, but he was still in his cell.

Calendar Man? I hope the rumour is true if that's the case.
In the gameinformer issue for Arkham city calander man was confirmed and if you talk to him on a holiday he will have different dialogue.

Thing is, The Penguin has pretty much gone legit at this stage in Batman canon...he owns a nightclub (and it's an open secret he sells weapons/information) and from what I can recall he ended up as a method of moving the plot along.

If you have a look at the IMDb page for the game, there are voices for Mr. Freeze and Talia al Ghul.

The Penguin has been left out in the cold for too long.
Consider my interest beaked.
Agreed. Arkham City is sounding more and more like it is going to be a great sequel to Arkham Asylum. The penguins inclusion could make for a truly chilling story. ;)

(Maybe a bit late for puns but shush! ¬¬)

Did anyone even really speculate the Penguin wouldn't have, at the VERY least, a cameo in this game? The Penguin is one of the most iconic Batman villains ever, leaving the Penguin out of this would be like leaving Dr. Octopus out of a Spiderman game.

Yay, Black Mask! I've been waiting for a time where actually got some screen time. He's been strangely absent in most Batman media. (At least, of the Batman media that I am aware of.)
Probably because he's a tad...dark. (Self-made orphan, carved his mask out of the wood from his father's coffin...you know, things like that. Same reason that you never hear of Thomas Elliot AKA Hush.)

Interestingly, Black Mask managed to get into Batman: The Brave and the Bold...but Hush didn't. Then again, Hush is even darker than Mask.

Can killer Croc PLEASE be in this game? He deserved a better boss fight. Also I want more of those Scarecrow sequences.
But still cool, Penguin and Catwoman. It's starting to feel a bit like a reuinion.
Sorry about Scarecrow, he got eated. =(

That part even kinda ruined it for me. Scarecrow? Cool as cats? EATEN?
I'm guessing you haven't seen Arkham Asylum's after credits ending...
It's randomized to either be Croc, Bane, or Scarecrow, so it's possible that he didn't see Scarecrow's.

I got Croc on my first playthrough.
Oh. Well, good to see Bane AND Scarecrow back, then.

His MO is pretty lame, but there are a few writers who do make him into a dark and deadly character. Like in 'The Long Halloween', IIRC.

Also, I know it's just a scan, but for those wanting to take a gander at the picture with the Penguin in it:

Is that a SOCIALIST STAR?? Or something a non-batman fan wouldn't get?
