where the red fern grows is such a sad book T_T. Elfin Lied is for those of you who enjoy reading horribly depressing stories with no happiness, with some small nudity and a lot and I mean a LOT of random murder. I don't know about ending but the middle of kanon was pretty sad.

On my first playthrough I took the female human noble and had romanced Alistair. We were set up to become kind and queen. Then at the end, he decides to kill himself in the duel with the archdemon because I didn't want him and Morgain having sex. I survived, but the last heir to the throne and my husband died.
