Did you get it for console or PC?Togs said:This- after 2 years of wanting to but never quite actually buying SR2 I finally got round ot it this week, whilst its as nuts as everyone says it is there have been moments of unexpectedly compelling storytelling- the Brotherhood missions especially knocked me sideways.
And another thing thats surprised me is how quickly I became attached to the various Saints members, especially my Boss who I almost instinctively started to RP- something Ive never done before, not even in proper RPG's.
No idea, it was made as a console game first so if you've got 360 or PS3 Id reccommend getting it on that over anything else.Octogunspunk said:Wow, this is going to be a serious GTA killer.

I was thinking of getting 2 in place of 3 for now. I doubt my PC could handle 3 without an upgrade. The only concern I have is that the PC version has a load of bugs. Have these been patched?
Seen this concern so much now.Kevlar Eater said:I'm a little hyped up for this game, possibly a little more so than Skyrim, but the PC version of SR2 was nothing short of totally fucked up. This has made me wary of getting the PC version of SR3, as I don't wanna pony up the cash for a unplayable mess.
Hm... difficult to say, really. The established characters would be strangers to you, after all. But I guess if you aren't terribly worried about story (which the series actually has, albeit in small bursts, between utter and shear ridiculousness), you will only feel slightly discombobulated.x EvilErmine x said:You know I've never played any of the saints row games...any one care to tell me what I'm missing and if I do get this one will I be missing out by not having played any of the others.
You won't really be missing much. You may not recognize a few characters, but even reading a plot summary of 2 should be plenty.distortedreality said:SR3 has pretty much flown under my radar (mainly because the SR series is one of those that I always mean to get around to playing but still haven't) but it looking pretty fucking awesome.
Quick q though - if I jump on this, will I miss much story wise having not played the earlier games, or is it along the GTA lines where I'll just miss some injokes?
you'll miss some in jokes most likely.distortedreality said:SR3 has pretty much flown under my radar (mainly because the SR series is one of those that I always mean to get around to playing but still haven't) but it looking pretty fucking awesome.

Don't forget that you jumped out of the plane to rescue someone. So you're rescuing someone in a giant clusterfuck of a shoot-em-up.Daystar Clarion said:Just been catching up on gameplay trailers, getting myself more hyped for the game, and bloody hell.
[HEADING=2]This game is batshit fucking crazy![/HEADING]
Set phasers for fun!
Man cannons? Beating dudes to death with a purple dildo? Jumping out of a flying plane, shooting up bad guys, then going through the windscreen of the same airplane!?
The pure unbridled fun I can see myself having with this game is blowing my mind.
So, fellow escapists, what are you most looking foward to in Saints Row the Third?
And Zelda in the same week. And Arkham city (for pc)Cowabungaa said:Why does this have to come out on the same day as Skyrim. Why dammit!

Pushed back to December...*sniff*
