While I did enjoy the gameplay of Saint's Row 2, if I can't add some redeemable features to my character, I don't want to play The Third. At the end of 2, I wanted to throw my own character into a furnace and let him roast alive, then serve him to an unknowing Saint's, with several tons of c4 underneath them.

I'm all for sillyness, but it crossed the line. I know that the main selling point for the series is how silly and utterly nonsensical it is, but since it allows you to customize, I'd like to be allowed to have some redeeming aspects for my character.

Also, I did not see Maxwell Sheffield voicing Boss. It'd be weird to transition to The Third and suddenly not have the english accent.

But the MC does have some redeemable qualities. He's fiercely loyal to his crew and will open the very gates of hell to destroy all those who mean them harm. I mean he personally wheeled Johnny out of the hospital, broke him out of jail, helped the man extract revenge on Shogo and destroyed the Brotherhood after what they did to Carlos.

He caused Carlos' death himself due to his reckless attitude, Aisha got what happened to her due to the recklessness of Gat and Boss, who both should've never used her in any of their schemes if they weren't ready to face the possibility of what she ended up in.

Also, don't forget the last two missions (or secret missions, as the wiki calls them), after the whole corporation thing.

Most of the tragedies in Saint's Row 2 occur due to the reckless stupidity of Gat and Boss. Just because they both are willing to save each other due to their unending bro-mance, does not give them a pass on all the shit they are responsible for.

I am seriously considering abandoning my pc at my parets place when I move out to study in august. With Skyrim, ME3, SR3 and all that other shit coming out, I'll never get any schoolwork done.

I bought saints row 2 because of the trailer for this game, havent started it yet, but it is premptively at the top of my list as well.
Dislike the quick time events, badass as they may be.

The previous trailers looked much better actually, I'm not sure if this is some sort of unpolished first glance but it seems alot worse then others.

This is smooth fluid gameplay, the OP gameplay is some clunky twitchy quick time event riddled shite, I don't even understand what they did to bring them so far apart.

Surely you jest. Did you try the other accents? Like, any of them? :)

Yeah, the other two were ok, (though the British one got annoying after a while) the Mexican vioce actor just broght the character alive. He wasn't just a guy with a Mexican accent, he was a Bad-ass who happend to speak spanish.

I really want to be able to fly that jet in-game.
For you airplane nuts out there, that is an Antonov An-225 Myria, the one-of-a-kind superfreighter designed specifically to carry the (sadly) cancelled Russian Space Shuttle and largest flying plane ever made. The owner still makes a profit shipping outrageously large things that simply cannot fit in anything else.

Anyways, I absolutely love it, it seems insane in 100 different ways, and that is just right.

This was already on my buy list but it was not very high up. Now, however, it is in second behind Skyrim. I definitely plan on getting this game.

But that's the beauty of Saint's Row. All too often we're faced with games that make the protagonist redeemable or live in the world of black and gray morality. Here we have The Boss as a psychotic monster who does not see himself on the side of good and acts accordingly. This is VERY refreshing and I love the direction of his/her character.

If it's anything, I made it a point to kill gang members who attacked innocent people and did the vigilante missions to help out the cops. You CAN have your guy have some redeemable features.

I'm a bit confused because all the guns had unlimited ammo but still I am getting this game because it looks great and the 2nd one was amazing.
You could get Infinite Ammo for everything in the second, and I assume the first as well. You could then replay the old missions with your newfound goodies.

I assume they're replaying the opening mission for the Convention.

My only criticism is that the characters faces show no emotion and holy shit the boss' eyes are big.
I was sold on this game from the moment I heard about it:

Johnny muthafuckin' Gat.
Stabbed like a boss.
Smashes frenchman's face through plane window.
His plane now.

If Dark Souls wasn't coming out this year, then I would be prepared to declare SR3 game of the year all years. I have full faith that this game is going to keep the inexplicably likable characters from SR2... just seeing Johny Gatt and the Boss trade quips like they did makes this trailer all the more amazing.

Very low, did you play the PC port of the last game? My god was it awful, not even going to bother with the third game...
You know the PC version is being developed in house this time, right? So you are basically wrong, and justifying not buying the game for a remarkably horrible and ill-conditioned reason. Besides, the PC port of SR2 wasn't THAT bad. I bet you are just jealous that this game looks a thousand times cooler than practically every title coming out this year :3
It was THAT bad, it was clunky and had frames issue all the fucking time when you was moving. And even if the pc port is being developed by themselves what´s not to say they do such a thing again?

And what on earth got jealousy got to do with me not buying it?!

Also:"cooler",really? Have you seen the games that are coming out this year? o_o
Let me explain this in simple terms.

Let's say Saint's Row 2 for the consoles was a painting, alright? And the PC port was a picture of the painting taken on a 4 year old cameraphone with dirt in the lens.

They're painting TWO pictures for Saint's Row 3, one of them for Consoles, one of them for PC. They're damn near building an entirely different game for the different systems.

If you're right, and don't worry. You won't be, I'll personally pour gasoline all over myself and smoke a cigarette.
