My mum still pretends he exists even though I'm 18, I have to keep up a charade that I still believe that he exists, bizarrely. Also y'know he wears red because of coca cola, who branded him that way.

Yup, the original colour of Santa was green ... some also believe it was brown =/

My mother use to the hooves from my dad's hunting trips to make reindeer tracks and sled marks.So I believed until I found a trunk full of presents marked "from Santa" a month before xmas.

Aww come one, Santa cant really deliever all the presents in one night, so he had to drop them off a month early to some houses. He did that with my mum also.

I kind of figured it out when I was about 7 after I thought about the term 'Christmas Shopping' me mom said to me that you buy the expensive presents and give them to Santa and he gives them to you. Me parents never really said to me directly that Santa isn't real.

I can't remember ever believing that Santa was real. Knowing my parents they probably told me he wasn't real straight away.

when i was a kid i used to draw santa a picture every year, he would take them and i would be delighted.

i walked into my moms room one morning, and was looking for something i found a stack of all the pictures i had drawn over the previous years!

She said nothing to cover her shame.

I barely remeber anything else from when i was a kid except finding out that santa wasnt real.

Apart from that, when did you find out Santa didn't exist and what sort of spin on the theme did your parents give to you to ensure you believed it as long as you did?

Uhh...it was so long ago I honestly don't even remember. Even though, yeah, a kid's imagination, Santa wasn't one of those childish beliefs that stuck with me for very long. Everything about him seemed improbable to even my young mind.

And I don't remember, I think one of the reasons was that my parents didn't really even give a "catch" to try to explain Santa Claus.
