Hah! This could not of been better. Personally I think shes a twat, but wow! Shes turns my floppy into a hard drive!

I never got why people hate 4chan so much. Yes they have done some... out of place stunts. But I check into 4chan every now and then because its a nice place to see some random pictures! Besides people on 4chan ARE people! There not just some servers left on all the time plotting to attack a famous person or two. I would think though, mods were trying to close down the email posts on it because shes a canditate person. That would cause a shitstorm for them, if it was traced back to them.
ROFL. The brilliance of this comment is beyond words. "Floppy in to a hard drive..." xD Oh man.. Priceless. Had me lawling for a good 5 minutes, at least.

Apparently, Palin was involved in some pr0nz, back in the day. Saw pictures and what not on the internets and, either they were damn good photoshop pictures, or they were the real deal.

Someone want to verify this? I mean, encyclopedia dramatica might be full of over-exaggerations and the like, but, to every lie there is always a bit of truth, right?

A couple of points...

Firstly, it wasn't "4Chan" that did it, it was Anonymous - a group which has gone far, far beyond /b/tards at this point.

Secondly, is anybody else worried by the idea of a government official keeping state-related emails in the cloud? It didn't seem to take much effort for Anonymous to get in; did they think foreign intelligence services aren't that smart?

Finally, some reports are saying that the email address hacked has since been deleted, so there's nothing there anymore - although a couple of sites have got screenshots and bundles of other stuff saved for posterity.

Poor 4chan, all it wants to do is post weird pictures and now it will most likely get into another hassle with the FBI.

Ah, 4chan. I love that website. I have not visited in a while but as many should know by now, 4chan will post/do anything if they think they can get a laugh out of it. 4chan demonstrated just how stupid this government official was to consider using a public email account for national security. She also used personal information in her password I hear, something that could be discovered via a quick google search. Anonymous did nothing wrong here, in fact I think they did the USA a favor in pointing out how simple and pathetic some people's passwords can be.

Here's what I find odd: the PATRIOT Act (It's an acronym, technically it's the PATIOT Act, which just goes to further show the ineptitude of th government) allows the government to read citizens personal emails if they are suspected of being a terrorist, without need of a warrant or PROOF. And our Public Officials, the people that should be open about what they are doing, send he Secret Service out after citizens that read their Yahoo mail. wtf?

I dislike Palin because I disagree with her stance on Abortion. She's on record saying she would deny abortion to rape-victims. That's pretty harsh and although it strikes me as republican pandering, I can't condone it. Obviously I'm pro-choice though, the pro-life sect might actually like that.

Oh and she's had some financial scandals and accusations of embezzlement. Anybody else know what I'm talking about, the whole "missing highway" thing? Don't know if there's any veracity to the claims but it makes me nervous.

Of course, as a Canuck I have my own election to worry about, but US politics influence ours a fair bit, so it's worth paying attention.

Anybody else notice that one of the "hacked" screenshots shows her discussing politics while playing CS:Source on Steam? Whoah...a potential gamer in the oval office.

Excuse me? What could anyone possibly do to Conservapedia to make it any funnier or more ridiculous?
I have conservapedia bookmarked, it's the funniest thing I've ever seen, better than anything in either ED or uncyclopedia, even better than cracked.com (because it's better in a list!)

Update - the "hacker" who bragged about being the one to do this, and explained how it was done, is the 20 year-old son of a Tennessee state representative, Mike Kernell (D-Memphis.) Assuming this holds up, it will be interesting to see if the law applies to the son of a Democrat politician.

regardless of who she is, it's still not cool to post someone's private email account, and much worse access details to that account, on the internet.
Ditto.

Despite what one may think of any politician, from either party...the fact that they obtained this information illegally and then posted it in lieu of the consequences it may have on any Palin's family members (including the daughters cell phone number)is criminal.

Putting the family in jeapordy is not a prank or a political statement...it is a conscience effort of being spiteful, and her things like the daughters cell phone number was not meant to be public domain.

I would want the same exact punishements afforded to those that would do this to Obama and his family as well.

Being the arse that I am however, I think a just punishment when they catch this person is to make public all his account information including addresses, emails, and phone numbers and let the public (and the whole world for that matters) give him and his family members who are innocent bystanders a few calls.....endlessly...for months on end.

Just plain stupid and idiotic. Darwin award winner. Karma is a *****.

I apologize for my flaming comment, I get overexcited sometimes, I have to agree with all politicians being corrupt though.
I think the worst thing about Mccain is the fact that he's like a smart Bush so we can't even laugh at the stupid things he does, he'll just destroy our economy while we try to squeeze out a couple more old guy jokes.
Hmm...I wonder if it would be possible to have summary executions of government employees who are found guilty of corruption. After hearing about what our Department of Interior's been doing, I want some lynchings! Hell, the Chinese just killed the head of their Food and Drug Administration just for bribery!

Wow, now that details of it are coming to light it, it confirms my earlier suspicions, it seems the super "hacker" got in by guessing her secret question, which was "Where did I meet my husband?" Thats some top notch security there..
