Swedish kid show.

People say they had nightmares from it. :) Don't remember much from it, so it's either I just lack the memory of it or I suppress it. My big brother was though a bit freaked out about it.
I know I'm going to seem wierd, but, I think she's really cute!

As for the wierd puppets, I think it's hilarious, but without the music it would be far more frightening. Watch it with no sound and listen to Bill Bailey's version of the magic roundabout, v scary

Lets make a list of the most Satanic children's shows that have ever been aired.

I'll start with my two picks.

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Peewee's Playhouse.

got any others?

Hmmm, well to be honest I don't think there has ever been what I'd consider to be a Satanic children's show. By hard core Christian definition pretty much everything is Satanic because if something doesn't come directly from god, it has to come from the devil because there are only two forces in the universe. What's more the requirement to go to heaven is to accept god and his teachings. The Devil doesn't need to be malevolent, all he has to do is turn you away from god, and this can be done through benevolent and good will as much as anything.

The hardest of the hard core Christians withdraw from society (Quakers, Amish, etc...) based largely on this. A lot of it comes down to controlling variables to things they know do not come from Satan, a simple life becomes a protective measure.

That said, unless your getting into Satanism through omission, most children's shows seem to stay away from anything that I consider evil or corrupting, and standards for this stuff are pretty high. What seems creepy to adults is the simplicity of the fare given that adults rapidly become jaded and feels anything so pure seeming has to be a trap of sorts.

That said I think the "Candle Cove" thing took off because there have been so many obscure children's shows over the years, especially in the 70s and 80s when they were experimenting, that they can be hard to keep track of, especially given that some literally only saw a few episodes aired.

Truthfully though I somehow missed "Noseybonk" (does not look familiar and I grew up in the 1980s) but still, it does occur to me that the mask would work great for a cheezeball horror movie.

Oh my god, it's Wiggles.

I'll find the video, and you'll see. You'll all see!

OH GOD.

I won't be surprised if this has roughly the same affect on the brains of modern children as would Agent Orange.
HOLY HELL!!! NOT THE WIGGLES PUPPETS AGAIN!!!! O my god I was sooooooo scared of those puppets when i was a kid! First time I saw them I actually pissed my pants!

Same here. Who the hell thought that was a good idea for kids?
Probably somebody who doesn't view kids as idiots... I don't particularly see the problem. It wasn't glorifying anything, the kids were aptly horrified and the creature was fearsome. Then again, I am only seeing this one scene without so for all I know there is an orgy afterward but from what I've seen, it isn't anything I would deny my kids. Then again, my five year old thinks Cthulhu is awesome so eh.
I have to echo this perspective. And I didn't find the "Mysterious Stranger" bit all that peculiar. Cthulhu is also awesome, and my daughter has many Cthulhuian toys.

I've got this movie on tape.

It's mainly very light and simple about Tom, Huck and Becky going on an adventure with Mark Twain. But then, all of a sudden they meet the fucking Devil, who gives them a miniature version of the genesis and apocalypse of mankind. The best onscreen Satan ever. Awesome stuff.

I saw that video. That dude was an idiot.

The only thing that actually bothered me about the show was that they were always eating meat, but you never saw any cows or chickens...

Jimmy Two-shoes. It's, quite literally, about an upbeat kid stuck in hell. Albeit with a lot of very thin veils.

Actually I kinda liked that. Does that mean I was fucked up as a kid?
I liked it too... But I dont think its a good scene for a kids movie. I just saw the whole film on YouTube, its really deep and breathtaking.

Good lord, they actually showed that to children?! Seriously, this is even scarier than the Mysterious Stranger! Just... wow.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot about my contribution. Nothing that can top that really, but Courage the Cowardly Dog always scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. But I just couldn't look away.

I doubt there's any kid out there who can watch that without crapping their pants. It even freaks out me.

I call shenanigans!

This was not specifically aimed at children, it was just rated a U by the BBFC.
It was in fact released under 2 titles (Comet Quest or The Adventures of Mark Twain) and was the first feature length movie using claymation.

The only downside to the film itself is that it was boring as all hell.

On a plus note the video release had an advert at the beginning for one of the best animated films of all time "Starchaser: The Legend of Orin"

OT: As far as evil shows go, has anyone mentioned Pob yet?

It's called "The adventures of Mark Twain" or something like that, it's NOT a show but a claymation movie, and something of a cult classic. Comes on TV now and again. It's not even remotely satanic (though I suppose some could make an arguement for anything), you have to take things in context of the entire production. It features people going to heaven as well, and even a guy who gets sent to the wrong heaven by accident if I remember.

It is directed at children, but it's also teaching about Mark Twain and his point of view on things and the lessons inherant in his work. The three kids are Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer, and Becky Thatcher all of whom he created for childrens novels.

It's a bit deeper than most children's fare, and I think that was both the point, and why it didn't catch on more.
It is indeed a great movie. I watch it every now and again just to remind myself that there are kid's movies with actual brains.
It has a couple of funny stories like the frog race, the guy who gets send to alien heaven and the Adam and Eva story. But it also has a few dark turns aswell like Mark Twain talking about how Mankind should be destroyed, a run in with Injun Joe and ofcourse meeting Satan.

Fix'd.
I see why you did that ):l
What? Religion isn't responsible for Pokemon being labeled as demonic. The fact that the people who labeled Pokemon as demonic happened to be religious is pretty much irrelevant. That's the point I was trying to make.

If it's the Disney channel thing you were referring to, then yeah, I'll admit it was an easy jab. Hannah Montana's jaws just don't look human. She must have been mutated by otherworldly forces. Satanic!

Sealevel and the surface of the Earth are not the same.
He still lives on the surface, as opposed to inside of the actual rock or magma.

A lot of 90s kid's shows were pretty controversial, with on-the-sly adult jokes that children obviously wouldn't understand.

As for one actually considered Satanic, I'm pretty sure that (unreasonable) people would say Pokémon, Digimon, and etcetera, as well as anything involving monsters ('demons') that fight for/against people, like Yu-Gi-Oh or Duel Masters or something.
