I'm just at a party and some bruiser comes up and says something along the lines of, "You too good to drink with the rest of us, what the fuck?" or "I don't trust a man who doesn't drink."

Hey man, I'm a drinker and a smoker, and I dabbled in drugs years ago, but if I'm at a party and somebody starts giving my staight edge buddy a hard time for NOT drinking, I'm the bruiser that stands behind the straight edge. Why give somebody crap for a choice they make when it comes to lifestyle choices? You treat me with respect, no matter what group you associate with, I'll be respectful in kind.

Exactly. If I'm at the party I obviously don't have a problem with people drinking. It's a complete lapse of reason. Unfortunately for those guys who do try to start shit, I'm very coordinated (and not drunk) and can easily put an average size guy on his ass.
