I can lend my games to my frien... hmm.

I can not buy one. Yes, that is the best thing about it. It is not mandatory to own one.... yet.

Its not the Virtual boy.
The controller is ok. I'll give it a 3/10. Cause thats as nice as I can be to this Xpensive Water Cooler.
Oh yah, yah! It cools your water too! Phew! Almost forgot that one.

It wasn't er... on fire during the presentation...

That's all I got.
Note to self:

If I ever get an Xbone (I won't) get a case mod that has hot rod flames.

Also, I have a feeling that that would have made the presentation better.

I really like the idea of installing all your games so you don't have to fiddle with the disks. The repercussions of that feature is what has me worried.

You can wear it on your torso and it will deflect 9mm rounds and absorb shotgun slugs....probably. If you are one of the people who buys it, you should definitely try it out XD.

It does have the ability to play games, and as long as you never planned on buying used games anyways you don't have to worry about some strange DRM or whatever and the new controller has nice fancy grips on the analog sticks...

still won't buy it but hey, theres three nice things I guess...

Well, back before it was confirmed that Kinect was a part of the standard hardware, I said to my friends "I will not buy the next version of the Xbox if Kinect is a part of the standard issue hardware." Now that I've heard about its other "features", I can say that the one good thing about the New Xbox is that I now have more reasons for not buying one than just my (slightly petty) hatred of motion controls.

The mandatory integration of Kinects will make Kinect-support for games a much more lucrative option for devs, and thus might end up driving the development of motion/voice controls forward.
The mandatory Kinect will also mean lots of mandatory Kinect gimmicks being crowbarred into games the don't benefit from them, due to a lack of risks to developers for implementing Kinect features. Seriously, this will happen. It always happens. I know that this is a "say something nice" thread, but I really felt that I had to point this out.
Oh absolutely. It's going to be ham-handed as hell, and so many things will go wrong. But, through experimentation, and the repeated failure of games with terrible gimmicks, it's entirely possible that in, say, 3-4 years, we'll see genuinely interesting stuff for the Kinect become more frequent. By the time the Xbox ZERO rolls around (you just know they're going to do something ridiculous like that), the Kinect might actually be a selling point. Or not, but hey, you never know.

I just don't want to be one of the hapless guinea pigs who have to suffer through all the testing.

It's nice to see it has Blu-ray.
That means bigger games (and less multi-disk games) for the Bone.

The New Kinect looks cool too.

I like the idea of picture-in-picture, game and TV multitasking--I'm actually not sure it's multitasking is that good.
It'd end so much fighting in my house--not to mention, grinding in some games will become much easier.

Can I just add those and some upgraded tech to my 360?
That's all I really care about.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, the screen caps and controller are cool.

The Xboner gives terrible marketing firms a lot of work, which is important in this dire economy.

It probably doesn't realease neuro-toxins and spiders.

Also, it's not always on fire.

The unification of a console OS, phone OS and computer OS allowing for far more user friendly interaction is a very good thing, but the way they seem to be using it is extremely lacking at best. The controller is probably going to be compatible with windows so everyone will own one for their PCs which I personally quite like, dark souls PC edition is made infinitely better with a 360 pad after all. In fact, the controller in general looks very good and the 360 pad is definitely my preferred controller at the moment, just can't get along with the spongy dualshock triggers.

That said, I'm never buying an Xbone and have talked to my friends about it- the most forgiving of Xbox 360 users. The response? They're already saving to start building good PCs.

It worked in conjunction with the PS4 to convince me do delve deeper in to PC gaming, which I feel is personal growth on my part.

You know that little space between the kinect and the xbone? the wii sensor bar could fit right in there...

If your xbox360 broke and you where using it for netflix mostly and you hated the design of the thing, the new xbone is for you :p

The used games fee might be really tiny and actually be used just to keep the account database in order. Hm, that's reaching...

Microsoft said that you actually can turn the console completely off so a hacked kinect system can't watch your wank material. More convenient than pulling the power cord all the time.

Maybe there we will learn new things in the future that might be considered positive. We don't know much about the console, not even the price so i can't even tell if the hardware would be cheap or not.

erm...architecture is nice, with it being x86_64, however the PS4 uses the same CPU anyway, so it's not a strong point in its favour, and the OS is actually runs in a virtual machine anyway, so all that nice optimisation is slightly rendered moot by the virtualisation (hey, Microsoft are making an Android gaming machine as well ;-))
