Actually, we can thank Microsoft for funding the first game.

EA only bought the rights after it was succesfull.

The buyout happened in Oct 2007, the game was released Nov 2007.

They've also published a lot of good games.

I like a lot of their games that they develop/publish. Rock Band, Madden, Dead Space, Mass Effect, and a whole slew of others are great and well-made games.

I don't really have a big problem with EA, so I guess All I can say is nice things.

ohh fuck i'm gonna need a bomb shelter after this, i like ea, i personally have never had any problems with them (ok their advertising department is pretty stupid) they have been at least partially responcible for some of my favourite games (dragon age, mass effect)
they also put origin up as a way to expand their market

I like how they haven't done anything to make everyone at DICE leave and then have the remnants of that company shit out a game that was only a shell of what it was supposed to have in terms of single player multi player and balance to appease insane fans that demand a yearly release.

I also love battlefield so I'm glad it hasn't been run into the ground so I guess I can't complain about them honestly I can't remember the last thing they did that pissed me off I need to get out more.

I think they have something to do with Crysis. And I liked Crysis 2.

I think they're the reason Mass Effect 3 has multiplayer, and I like the multiplayer, so kudos to them for that.

I liked Battlefield 3, and Kingdoms of Amalur was an interesting IP that they published, even if it wasn't my cup of tea.

I liked the Syndicate reboot as well. Shame nobody plays that.

They get a bad rap, but the games they publish can still be good, even if their business practices aren't.
