I'm looking to disable certain units in a custom game. How would I go about doing this?

Nobody knows, the SC2 editor is the most complex tool created by man, and only a few people have fully figured it out...

So, you want to disable units? Find the buildings that build stuff in the dataeditor, and remove from the abilities the unit construction features for the ones you don't want, that is the jist of it, I think...

However, I've yet to confirm if this works, just speculation based on my limited experience.

That's roughly right. It's been a while since I've touched the editor so I can't throw together a step-by-step how-to, but that's the idea. You go into the unit editor, find the producer building (barracks, gateway, etc) and find the list of units it can create. Remove the units you want banned and it's done.

That's roughly right. It's been a while since I've touched the editor so I can't throw together a step-by-step how-to, but that's the idea. But why ban units when you can produce Thors for 12 minerals in 3 seconds apiece?

So you can be hilariously terrible.

On a side note, this thread has reminded me that I need to start on an idea I had for an SC2 map. Just gotta figure out how to replicate third-person shooter controls and how to make hallways/stairways.
