Scariest game enemy in a survival horror?

This is different to my previous thread in that I am not talking about main villains in games that were creepy (in which case Doctor Steinman from Bioshock, no question), just common game enemies in the survival horror genre that scared the piss outta you. I would mention the limb respawning Hunter in Dead Space but that isn't a common enemy that you fight many of so I'll say that many of the other creatures in Dead Space sacred the crap outta me... in the beginning then when I got further they stopped scaring me.
So that's my pick, what's yours?

PP.S I haven't played enough hardcore survival horrors like Silent Hill (though I want to) so please excuse my choice if you disagree.

EDIT: you know what, the topic strayed a bit from the main topic and so now the overall scariest game enemy is the giant T-rex dinosaurs in King Kong, though apparently they are infact called V-rex's which is interesting in a way.

The Ganados (is that how it's spelled?) from RE4 are pretty scary. I never get used to the times when you shoot their heads off only for the tentacle thing to pop up.

This comment wins. Seconded. I don't get nightmares, but damn they were creepy. I still feel that SH4 was the scariest of them all, it just had the shittiest gameplay.(stupid inventory system, stupid unlockable ending system)

Heh. I guess you could say that makes it the best representation of Silent Hill, despite not taking place in Silent Hill at all.

Anyway, the head crab things from half-life are a little freaky. Also the dogs from the RE series.

I've not played many survival horror games, but here's my two cents. The T-Rex from Dino Crisis. I'm pretty sure that counts.

Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2. Also, I remember the Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 being pretty scary, as well as the lickers and hunters, for their ability to instantly decapitate you. And that bit in the original Resident Evil where the dogs come through the window.

Actually I giggled when I first saw him, I mean...He has a big ass helmet and large sword.
I did not find him that scary, hes scary but compare him to victim 7&8.

Definitely the regenerators from Resident Evil 4, the worst part was the breathing so you would know they were nearby, the only question being where...
