DID YOU SEE THE SMILE ON THEIR FACES?
*shudder*
Ugh, I hate those things, and the sound they make when they breathe.

Chainsaw fuckers in RE5. My friend and I would lose sight of them on both screens and get anxious because you can still hear it running. Then he'd jump up onto the platform you were on right in front of you or you'd turn around and he'd be there mid-swing. There was yelling.

His mother got concerned.

/thread.
I'm not sure it's proper etiquette to /thread yourself.

The Patriarch!

He's seriously badass, taunts you, and is invisible while he comes to EAT YOUR FACE.

I've never been more horrified for my survival than that

Well... the L4D tank can be intense sometimes too

Dan Barrows from the original Clocktower game.

My first reaction when I saw him was to yell "Jesus unholy christ!" pausing, the game and then getting out of the room for a couple of minutes to calm myself down.

That is one happy, hare-lipped fellow.

I quite agree, the regenerators/Iron Maidens were easily the worst enemies in the game. Hell, make that the worst I've ever come across.

I'll go with the Maggots from Doom 3.

They're always there. Watching. When you bring out the flashlight, it'll be the last thing you do.

Anything from "Parasite Eve"... especially after reading the book and understanding what they are.

Nasty bastards. Not truly SCARY, but creepy as fuck.

Those goddamn regenerators... and the monks...

I have to say that the scariest enemy I've fought were those goddamn scorpion things in Dead Space, when you're in the low gravity room. I jumped to another surface, and thought I was safe...

Only to look up and see two of them flying at me. HOLY SHI-

The classic Nurse from SH , their jerky movements when they edge towards you. *shudders*
Sorry to be a fantard, but they were only jerky in Homecoming. The classic nurses just walked towards you dragging a hammer along the floor.

I would not even survive the FEAR demo out of fright. I'm a coward, but FEAR was scary, and I;m not playing anything more scary. RE4 was scary, but I got though it.

As with most games, I quickly adjust to the scare-factors. I barely flinched throughout F.E.A.R.

System Shock 2's Xerxes for the win though - scary fucking machine! I would insert a spoiler veil, but if anyone failed to guess her presence in the game after seeing her face dominating the box art... well, yeah... indeed.

ill stick with the majority. nemesis scared the crap out of me when i played through re3 the first time. when he jumps through that window... i used all my ammo on him, and kept firing even though he was very dead.
